I turned 50 and my zx14 got a bit faster Today was my 50th birth day and test and tune at our local 1/8 mile strip... I really wanted to beat my best ET and MPH for my B-day...Got about 6 runs in most in the 6.20s , had one in the 6.18@119 .. I was about to pack it in for the night but i said what the hell one more pass and Bang!!!!

mph 120.28
It wasn't much better than my best but it was better and that's all the counts ...lol... I loaded up and went home with a smile .. That was the first 120 mph pass on my zx14 , i have a stack of 119 mph tickets that were close ....
I'm heading down to test and tune Sat night at Bradenton Motor Sports Park and see if i can beat my best 1/4 mile pass.. Anyone want to come it's the 22 July 6:00 to 11:00 ... Smokin ...

It says on the members list (disabled) after your name. Can you expand on that? Is everything O.K.? I'll understand if its none of my buisness.

Sorry I'm stupid, it was the instant message list after you log in not the members list. It says the IM is disabled. Duuuuuuh, I hope the admin doesnt knock me back to parking attendant!

Good job Smokin..You will be in the 5's soon..Oh yea happy 50th..Just keeps getting better..I will be 55 in November..Just wish someone around where I live would bring a 14 to the track and let me ride it..If not I will have to get one next year.

I'm 52 and I have never been on a drag strip in my life. I did sweat my ass off in full leathers but had fun. Meet some good people and I look forward to going back. Know this is nothing to a lot of you but first run 60 ft. 1.696 1/4 10.255 mph 134.42 I look forward to learning more from all the good people on this board and from more time at the track.

Good job smokin, I'm going back out saturday if the weather is decent. Looking for a 9. Last two times the track has been open it's been in the 90's with humidity to match it.

Zone I forgot to say happy birthday. As for the good ride have you ever heard of dumb beginners luck. Two more runs after that and they went down hill. I think that my son telling me my wheel was in the air more that on the track most of the way down sank in.

Fast i'm trying real hard ...Been drag racing for 34 years and i really love it... I got out of bikes back in 85 and just got back on last year and having a blast ... I have an uncle thats 83 and still rides his bike on 400 mile day trips..... I would like to be racing when i'm that age if i make it that far...lol... I just love going to the track and kickin ass on the younger guys!!! The young guys seem to have a ton of ego till the line up with me .... Life is Great!!!! Thanks Fast.......... Smokin.........

Good 1/8 mile and mph...What was the temp, was it humid???
Thank you ..... It was low 90s and it just rained and the air was pretty thick... I'd say 70% to 80% humidity ... I can't wait to run this thing in the winter , if you call what we have here winter ...lol ... ____________
