Stupid DYNOS

You guys want to hear something hilarious... so we go to the track yesterday and there is a group of guys called Rolling Performance there they are a mobile dyno place.. so just for giggles I pay them 20 bucks to dyno my ZX14 with a full Brocks SMEG a PCIII a TRE and Brocks map, peak power ready for this 152.6 LMAO so I am like umm that seems a little low then he is like well this map is terrible your AF looks like an ocean up and down up and down never higher then a 11.05 and as low as an 8.5 for 200 bucks I will fix it for you so I am like naaah thats ok I will leave it how it is then an 06 ZX10 with a 2 brothers slip on gets up there he gets 131 and then 05 Busa with a full Yoshi system get up there and he gets 133 this was a superflow dyno and it was outside about 99 degrees and 95% humidity so how can this be can they make those numbers read whatever they want or what that just seems ridicously low those are SAE numbers

Just had mine dyno tuned by a Tuning Center with a Tuning Link software. Brocks map is just about perfect except down low where I think he adjusted it for some "streetability". Mine made right at 180rwhp with pump gas. Another 14 on the same dyno made 172 with full system and mapped the week earlier.. His was a muzzy and mine a Hindle..

superflow can be configured to use different calculations, but i believe the default one reads considerably lower than the DynoJet numbers we are all used to. that doesnt explain the AF reading of course, but i'm not too surprised by the HP reading.

I dyno all the bikes and map everybike here at yoshimura including Matt's.Zx14r only puts out 164bhp (even the preproduction only put out 157bhp)with a full yoshi pipe and new yoshimura ems it was over 175bhp...also Im building cams and new head gasket to replace the old version....gsxr1300r only puts out 171bhp with a full pipe and ems....but as you take in that 'ram air' a good tuner would take this in considation and adust the air/fuel to make any short fall out on the road...hence with ram air there should be approx 182.5 out of a good system and ems.Iwill report back later as Im engine dyno the zx14r to set up the cams and can use the ram air effect.
