I can tell already this is going to be the new "ivan" thread. A thread that won't die. FYI i'm at a base that has 18 computers hooked up, and one IP address. So if the other pilots happen to post on here also, same ip address.
As far as who has access to "my" computer, everybody that walks in. It is in the admin's office and the spare pilots, flight nurses, just about anybody that walks in can use it. If you don't log out of Bikeland, then they're are posting using your nick.
The way Rob was able to contact me is that my nick is the same as my e-mail address, and Dave Turner has my contact information as I'm waiting on parts there. Kind of a no brainer.
I think we are losing site of something here and that is free speech. Obviously, the post that was made was wrong, and mis-informed. However, if you have problem with somebody's product, before you go posting negative comments about it on a website, you should contact the manufacturer. Maybe you installed it wrong, or maybe they can fix the problem. If all else fails, and you feel the part doesn't live up to yours and everybody else's expectations, then share it with us.
Most of us are just bored, can't ride because of work, rain, wife took the bike keys. I come on here looking for information to help me get the best possible times out of my ZX14 at the track, considering I SUCK!!!!
I also like to share with the members my experience installing parts, what works for me, and what doesn't. Sometimes my buying decisions are based on what I read here and elsewhere. In the case of the Muzzy pipe there were two factors involved in my purchase. One was the cost, it's about $400 less than Brocks pipe, and two was availability, he was the only one that had them out when I bought. As far as performance, I DON'T HAVE A CLUE as to if it works better or worse than the competition. But for $400 less, I was able to buy a NOS kit, and that will definately make up for loss horsepower.
What my friend posted was what we were probably both thinking out loud. On the SAME bike, under the SAME conditions, and the SAME dyno, which pipe makes the most Hp for the dollar. Mine made 168Hp at $600, that about 3.57 dollars per Hp. If you want to say that it increased my stock Hp by X, then it would be 600/X=$perHp
I think that would be the BEST measure of gains. We all know you can have a superduper custom Titanium Graphite exhaust customed designed, and it would cost you thousands of dollars, for maybe 10 more Hp. In my book its all about dollar for Hp, and there no way you can beat Muzzy for that.

I let my little girls do all the typing and form my answers in the SmackHouse whereas my wife posts most of the content from the IP address here. :P
BTW since all 4 computers here all share the same wireless connection wouldn't they have the same general IP? I know they are each handed some sub IP that they negotiate with either the router or the Airport-Express we're sharing.
Yes, they absolutely would...the router hands out private class IP's like 192.168.x.x. Your public IP is what the sites will see when you post, and you only have the one assigned to that router. Good answer regarding your girls and the answers in the smackhouse...:d
I usually have my wife do mine too....
