Way to go, I had a Muzzy on order but after the way they treated me on the phone saying that I can only get their map if I buy their PCIII, even though I was buying their pipe I cancelled the order and am now dealing with Brock...
He still knows what Customer service is... Good luck with the Muzzy...

I dont think it's fair to continuously run Muzzys down. Not only did they read scifi's complaint Muzzy himself personally responded to it and made it right. Muzzy is a founding member of this site and without his personal support it wouldnt be online. Brock is a great guy, and I;m certainly not knocking either of them as I consider both of them to be friends of mine, but I do have a problem with certain members expressing what appears to be nothing more than an "agenda".
Muzzys products, like Brocks, AreaP and Orient Express are all top notch. They are all here to serve you and help improve the performance of your bikes. That's WHY they're sponsors...
Treat them ALL with the respect they deserve because without them the site wouldnt be here.
2togo congrats on your new pipe

I personally have no agenda. I have run Muzzy products on all of my Kawis in the past. But after recent pricing probs, and customer complaints from many members of this board, and constant backorder problems on products that have been for sale on the site for months yet never actually available... I would say that they are being treated with the respect that they DESERVE. It does however mostly seem to be a problem with Muzzys hired help more than a problem with Muzzy himself. But, you are responsible for products that bear your name. I would still buy from Muzzys personally ..if they had anything new that I had to have. I did, however, buy my pipe and pc III from Brocks purely do to perfomance numbers, AVAILABILITY, and customer service. Just my $.02

I understand what you are saying, but at the same time there are always growing pains especially when dealing with new models and new products for them. Muzzys has been a reliable source of high quality aftermarket parts for members of this site for 6 years. There are always problems (for every manufacturer) when a new model is released, especially when trying to guage demand etc. No one is alone is this.. witness how many people waited for their 14s (or may still not have them yet)... let alone parts for the bikes.
Cut the guy some slack already. He came online and dealt with it. I wont stand by and let every topic become a Muzzy slamfest. People said their peace in other topics.
That's just not cool.
(and believe me.. I'd say the same thing if the shoe was on Brock's foot, or any of the other aftermarket guys...)

I knocked muzzy sliders and prices, but after someone got them and expressed how nice they were, and directly mounted with no modifiacation or bracket, I appologize. Sorry RobMuzzy!!!
I don't have any agenda, just speak my mind. But I am man enough to admit when I'm wrong.

So is this a USER forum or a Sponsor forum!!!! we cant bash the guy for bad customer service cause he has thrown you a few dollars over the years I think it is important people realize that this is a CUSTOMER driven industry and that if you hire people that are rude then it doesnt matter if you make a quality product... I dont know Rob Muzzy never talked to him but when I call his shop I ALWAYS get the impression that the salesperson I am talking to rather it be Kurt or Dave or one of the other guys would rather be doing something else kind of like they are doing me a favor by taking time to talk to me when I AM DOING THEM A FAVOR BY GIVING THEM MY BUSINESS! I just dont want to see this forum become one of those that cares more about the "sponsors" then the users WE ARE THE ONES who make this a good forum... JUST MY $.02

hey black... I hear ya, but the point is that Muzzy addressed the issue... so unless there is some "new" earth shattering news (which there isn't) then it's only fair to see how things have changed...
What I am saying is that it's not fair (and this goes for any sponsor or company) for members to bitch about a company, have that company say they are going to make it right (publically) and then not give them a chance to do what they say they will do... In all fairness you have to give Muzzys a chance to make good on their word.
If you (and other members) want to bitch and bitch and bitch about Muzzy even though he addressed the issues publically then I have no problem with that.... we'll just move all of the spleen venting to the smack house and it can become part of the general venting of anger in the world....
If this was a "sponsor's forum" and not a member driven forum, NONE of this would have been allowed online. You should have guessed that by now.

I am bitching not about his product I called today with questions about nitrous kit and cams for my 14 and was treated like complete dog poop Like I was some 16 year old kid with daddies credit card or something and I asked the dude I was like do you have someting else you need to be doing other then talking to me and he said "I could be talking to people that are actually gonna buy something" it is only the customer service that I am complaining about nothing else

Either way, Black, if you have issues with customer service, (with any company) then call back and ask to talk to someone in charge (certainly something any rational person does before they bitch on the Internet).
BTW... sounds like there's more to the story then you are telling us ...

Guess I'll add my 2 cents. First, I have Brock's Gen 3 StreetSmart. Second, I have Muzzy's frame sliders. So I've dealt with both guys. I have a buddy who will run nothing but Muzzy
exhaust systems on his bikes. I personally was a devout Micron fanatic but they didn't have a product for the 14 when I wanted it. On to Muzzy - I did not deal with the infamous Kurt. I dealt with Dave. Dave was very professional, informative, and helpful. The sliders were backordered. I was notified of the backorder status, asked if I would like to cancel the order or wait. Dave called me several times and left a message with my answering service concerning the status of the order. I cannot comment on the actual production cost of the sliders as that is out of my experience area and to hazard a guess would be mis-leading. But I was sold the sliders for $99. The order was made prior to the latest price increase but the backorder was not filled until after. Thus I was treated fairly. There was no argument from Muzzy trying to get additional money, no threat to cancel the order. They filled it. My ONE experience with Muzzy for the 14 was highly satisfactory and I would have no issue doing business with him again. Brock also is very professional. The one difference that I have noticed between the two is that Brock took the time to personally respond to private e-mails and provide me with his suggestions. Muzzy depends upon customer service agents (perhaps due to the size of his company and the amount of sales). In a nutshell, I'm agreeing with Fish about talking to the supervisor if the service isn't good. There is way too much bitching on the Internet and it is kinda unfair in that only one perspective is typically voiced - that of the dissatisfied customer. What really happened to that customer is unknown. The bitching may be true, it may be exagerated, who the hell knows. But what it does do is give an impression of a business which may be blown out of proportion. Bitching once or twice, fine. Bitching every single time a new thread is issued on an exhaust system, honestly, the bitcher loses credibility as it appears there is an agenda rather than actual complaint. Damn I'm wordy. I quite. Muzzy, thanks for the frame sliders. Brock, thanks for the exhaust. I want both you guys to continue to support guys like me who don't have the skill or the time or the money to make fine products for my 14 and my other bikes. FBA, VegasDude, zerMatt, and many many others, thanks for all the info on flies, etc.
Fish, thanks for the fine work on this site and for the work with Brock on the TRE vs. flies. All of your comments and inputs have helped me make my 14 the way I want it to be.

I view this forum as a community of "Friends" and I consider it my duty to let my friends know about negative experiences I have with a company because that in turn will hopefully cost Muzzy's bussiness and money which in turn will motivate him to solve the problem either by lowering prices or hiring new people... either wayu the customer benefits and once again demonstrates to the manufacturers that WE ARE IN CHARGE not them and that if they dont offer products and services that meet our expectations we will take action... Just calling a superviser lets a company off the hook so to speak cause there is no real repurcussions for their actions.
