replacement or reprogrammable ECU
Interesting subject. Muzzy had (has) a unit for the ZX-12. I will probably get a lot of flack for pointing this out but you can get a race tuner from Harley Davidson that allows you to reprogram the stock ecu and several companys make complete replacement ecu's for these bikes not to mention all the car systems that are available. Both the Harley software and the aftermarket replacements for Harleys are far more sophisticated than the Dynojet power commander available for our bikes. I think it gets down to demand. There is just not enough of a market with bikes like the ZX-14 to justify the investment to R&D, manufacture, and market replacement units.
