1/8 mile times
Hey guys i need some pointers for the strip.Went to the strip last sunday and i need to be shot for the time i ran. though i have not been on the strip in about a year i expected better out of myself. I ran constant 6.80's with about 2 7.00. My 60ft was horrific with 1.72 being my best. My bike had a muzzy pipe pcIII with muzzy map lowered in the middle hole with muzzy lowering links and about an 1.25 inches in the front. I weigh about 265. Bike only wheellied once but was not bad. I know i have 6.30's as is in the bike easily i just need to work on some form and some good shifting.. I think i am about to add the tre, a custom map, swing arm, and gas. Maybe that will get me into the 5.50-5.80 range. what you guys thinkl

what rpm did you launch at? your old clutch hand is just probably a little rusty... a few more times at the track and you should be right on it...

bishopzx12 your doing good , get more seat time the numbers will drop on there own ..... Don't add any more power till you master what you have .... your bike will go 6.30s or better just the way it is ...... I started at 6.50s and so far i have it down to 6.14 with nothing but more seat time .... Smokin....

Don't hate me .... I'm 150 to 155 most days ... Don't worry about your weight the zx14 was the HP to pull any weight into the nines.. Leave at 4500 , slide the clutch slowly out without a wheelie ..If the front end is still on the ground you are doing good...If it's still on the ground PIN the throttle fast and hard ... Timming is tricky but you will get the hang of it with seat time ... Smokin..
