Hyperpro steering damper

Why is the steering damper from Mu$$y cost so much? Is there something to this damper that I am not aware of to make this so different? If someone knows please post. I just don't get it........................

We would like steering dampers. On decell sitting up with no hands on bars coasting down past 50 mph steering shake is bad, on both bikes. Price is scarry. All of you guys have it easy. You only have to buy stuff for 1 14. I can't do anything to mine without doing it to my wife's. Dollars get slaughtered quickly when everything is doubled.

2toGO...I haven't seen one complaint here on that, nor have I had any issue with that on my 14...the only issue I saw was when I overstiffened my suspension and did some WOT's through the gears on bumpy roads; that did produce some serious headshake, almost a tankslapper in fact...I've sat up no hands, stood up no hands -- at speeds of over 100...and not seen anything like you're seeing, but, just wait it out...I paid under $400.00 for my ZX10r Hyperpro active online last summer...they'll start to drop as soon as it becomes available somewhere other than MU$$Y's...

2toGo - Check your front tire pressures. No, double check your front tire pressure. Then examine the front tires for cupping. Bridgestones are notorious for cupping the front tire if you let the pressure get a bit low.

Shake is only on decell between 50 and 45 mph. Had the speedo showing 160+ , smooth as silk on either bike.

42 psi, No signs of cupping at all. Had 014's on my GPZ 8500 miles on them no uneven wear or cupping. Usually cupping comes from running with low pressure as you suggested.

I had the deuce of a time on my ZZR1200 with cupping of the 020 'stones. That's why I mentioned it. And that's the exact symptom I would see, shaking on decel between 50 and 45. Very smooth otherwise. The dealer should have checked the head bearings for the 600 mile check.

Ya, I guess if you the throttle pinned between gears huh? Mine does that with them in or out...at 10K+ shifts pinned...she gets light and lifts and twists at 150+...sick man, very sick!
