14 got it's 1st Busa tonight! Jeez, almost forgot to share the story. Alot of bikes out tonight, went down by the water tonite w/ a buddy of mine. 12 guys roll up, all big bore bikes , 05 & 06 ZX10's, Gixx 1000's, an R-1, 2- 636's & 1 Hayabusa. We started shootin the shit w/ the 06 ZX10's owner & my buddy said kinda loud "Hey you should see how the 14 hangs w/ that Busa!" The Busa's owner was within earshot & left the comment w/o a response. Well,30 min. later they we're rollin out & we decided we'd tag along. Got to the Highway & The Busa pilot searched me out. he signaled for me to break to the front of the pack which we both did, once clear of the traffic he tucked down & we let'em go from a roll-on @ 100mph in 4th. the result was just a steady pulling away from the busa til I shut it down at 160mph due to rapidly approaching traffic. We ran several more roll-ons at various speeds & gears w/ the same result. The Busa owner was a pretty stand up guy & I waved off that I was splitting. I ' am just suprised it took as long as it did to get this encounter but, worth the wait!

nope....CR, you got that wrong....sorry but they're still gonna claim the Busa is GOD's gift to the rider www.hayabusa.org ...and nothing else comes close....I however as most of here do, disagree and believe the Busa has had it's time...7 years of fame. Can't be number one forever... ____________

....a coupla' observations:
1) all of this busa vs zx14 superiority is moot if riders' weights/skills/experience are not the same and if the bikes are not totally OEM stock
2) all this busa vs zx14 superiority is moot if there is no one/no way to objectively and officially sanction the results of the 'race'/'test'
...hey, I'm glad that you guys are enjoying the shit outta your bikes and have great brag-racing stories to tell, but until these two issues are addressed, the debate goes on and makes for lively bench racing....hey, I blew past the shit outta a C6-Z06 the other day in my lowly 225hp CrownVic like it was standing still....because it was...and what does THAT prove?

Unless It's Keith Dennis against MadMike or Me on the 14...That's because Mike needs more time on it and I have never been on one!!!...The Busa guys would agree to that
It would be awesome to see Keith Dennis on a Busa and Ryan Schnitz on the 14, both bikes with the same pipe, slammed, gearing, stock wheelbase, OEM tires, no Power Commander, foot shifting, OEM air filters, no tricks or any other mods...
Now that would be interesting to see best out of 5 passes!!!

To be honest, the guy on the busa was probably 70 lb. lighter in weight than me & he was piped anything else couldn't tell ya. But, a roll-on at 100mph in 4th gear is as straight forward as your gonna get for HP to HP results.

bye bye busa....I should talk I got a busa in the garage...old habits die hard...I still love my busa but my zx1400 is a better bike....sorry busa guys go beg borrow or steal a zx 1400 you will see.

But you already know a 14 makes more power than a Busa. We also know that given equal riding ability with equal weight riders, a 14 will pull a Busa on the highway.
I would have been in 3rd at 100...

This happen to me tonight. I was riding with some guys. One had a 06 1000 gsx. We're on the highway and rolled from second. My rpms started about 7000. He pulled away from me everytime. We did it 4 times. It seemed the bike wouldnt rev fast enough vs that 1000. I even went into 3rd before him. I know it makes a difference with weight. Me 248 him maybe 160. His bike also ways 150 pounds less. I put on the megaphone but still need it mapped. This shit has to end. One i lose weight. Try to get down to 200. Two i put a 16 tooth on it. I think the 16 would have solved this problem.
Us Busa guys have the same problem... The litre bikes are born for the track...
My Busa and your ZX-14 are setup for sport touring.

What is more important to Suzi, losing the #1 spot in performance, or sales figures?
If all they care about is sales, why rush a new busa to the market? They are still selling very well.

get the tre... the power commando and a dyno tune and say good bye to those pesky suz. 1000 you can put a lot more h/p to the ground for a few more bucks ...dont stop now...go get him or send him my way....take the air filter out...its good for 7 more h/p....just remember to put it back after. use brocks oil it helps with the rpms. lower the bike..it helps and check your air pressure.
