Brock Quit Teasing!
And come out with it! You remind me of those school girl virgins back in the days when we had to wait patiently before they would give it up...

The report is a complete disappointment. In the end, there was little (if any) *new* info revealed. Here is the bottom line from Brock...
"My conclusion? Decide for yourself. I suggest the TRE for street use, if having your shift indicator displaying 6th gear all of the time doesn't drive you nuts. It is also a better choice for most on the drag strip as it is easily removable if your riding skills aren't ready for the additional launching power.
The no-plates set-up is a race only mod which could also be used by the 'short- pee-pee crowd' on the street for maximum 'minimal member' excitement. But, the bike will actually stall and die if subjected to full throttle at low rpm's in the wrong gear. I do not recommend this modification for street use at all, especially if you like to roll-on with your buddies. A Honda Hawk will outrun your 14 if your engine isn't running! It could also be dangerous, so don't do it."

u call empirically confirmed confirmation of such a hot topic dissapointing?!? what would not have been dissapointing to you? 100HP gain at 2000rpm with an extra resistor? or a complete debunking of any TRE performance claims?
shit, some people are impossible to please.

Maybe it had been posted somewhere but I thought there was an amount of anticipation about what was going to be revealed. I was hoping for something along the lines of...."we developed a plug and play unit that allows for revised timing of the secondary throttle plates". In the end, nothing was revealed, just confirmed.
I never had a problem with Ivan or his products so the confirmation that the TRE really is useful does not disappoint me at all. I'm still not going to run out and buy one but I'm sure Brock's recommendation is solid.

I like the TRE on it. Notably more juice, although, I'd still like more. I won't take the plates out now, all the same.

TJ, gotta disagree with you here...they put all the myths to sleep and produced real test results which are hugely beneficial to everyone here, including those with small dicks...now, most of us can say with more certainty, which mods we'll go for..I mean, WTF did you expect?
Oh, btw, you should have a problem with IVAN, cuz that fucker never alluded to the fact that you NEED a PC3 and mapping with his TRE in order to avoid burning engines (on the 14 at least)...so the 70 bucks for the TRE is now like 800 after PC3 and mapping...plate mod will still be 70 bucks cheaper...

There is no question that I am hard to please I am still very eagerly waiting for a better [read electronic] solution to secondard throttle plate timing. I was optimistically hoping that is what was going to be revealed. (which may have been unrealistic)
The report did validate information that was out there on bikeland. There is no question that validation is helpful to those that were/are considering the purchase of a TRE or thinking about the removal of plates. I never said the report was useless. I just thought there was some anticipation about its release. That anticipation lead to unrealistic expectations.

Why would you think there was a "new" fix available right now? All we ever told anybody was that we were conducting an independant impartial test of the TRE.
BTW in the article we mention the USB hub.

I must have missed the post/thread where it was revealed the [anticipated] release was a test of the TRE. I thought I read [probably imagined it] that we were waiting for new "information". My imagination ran wild expecting another huge breakthrough (like when people first started pulling plates).
The test itself was certainly not a disappointment. I agree with everyone that said the report was awesome (now knowing the purpose of it). I think as a group, we lack patience. Waiting for an electronic fix for the low RPM "problem" is painful!
