How Much Before Tax???

How much did you all pay for your zx-14s before tax? What is the best price I could get on one?

so 10,500 + prep + tax = good price?
im just wondering what the lowest my dealer could go is...
really thinking about driving one home tomorrow, or just wait for the "B" model.

Price is all relative to the market. A "good" price is one you are happy paying. Although, never, ever pay junk fees like shipping or set up.

As for waiting for the "B" model, that could be years away...

Look in Cycle Trader. There are several dealers across the country offering theirs for 10,600+-. Take that into your dealer as a possible bargaining tool.

As to your "B" model comment, I'm going to wait until next year. There have been one too many new model bikes in the last few years that have had real "issues" on first roll out. I will say however that so far the 14 seems to be rock solid with no serious complaints. Time will tell.

Yes, I think you could consider that to be a good price as long as "prep" didn't end up costing you more than a couple/few hundred dollars. For instance, my dealer started at $10,237, then added dealer prep and delivery for a total of $10,800. I was very pleased with that.

The 14 is a wonderful motorcycle, no matter who's looking at it, especially if it's design purpose fits your needs. That, combined with the fact that it can be had for under MSRP makes it a very attractive proposition. You won't be dissapointed! (well... unless you think it'll carve as well as a modern 600/750/1000...)

$10,169.50 delivered from Honda East in Toledo Ohio. This is a special offer negociated through another ZX-14 website for website members. Only additional cost was the $15.00 fee for the private forum fee on this website. Of course I still have to pay Kentucky state taxes and license fee when I register the bike.

johns - yes, that's a great price, but who knows when Honda East will be able to fill all of the pre-orders that they have collected, which may be in the dozens. You're call if you want to potentially wait till next fall or even later for the '14

Honda East

Yes, it was a great price and only available through a special pricing arrangement I recieved as a private member negociated for members on another ZX-14 web site. I ordered the bike after the Motorcyclist article came out and got it this last Tuesday (5/23/06) in about 4 weeks after order. As far as I know there was no preference on delivery given to guys that ordered under the special pricing program over orders outside the program. I was told that Honda East had ordered 33 ZX-14's. I suspect that some customers cancelled orders due to the late delivery schedule. I bought a 05 Yamaha FJR-1300 from Honda East and I like dealing with them (no haggling over pricing) enough that I was willing to drive 300 miles to pick up the bikes. This dealer sells a lot of bikes over the internet.

I need to be dealing with your dealer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My dealer will ASSS rape ytou on a trade in. He wants to make money when he sells you the first bike, Then make money off the trade that he don't want to give you shit back for and then make money on the new bike. I always tell him NO! I just can't trade with him, but I can buy strait out from him GO FIGURE

I picked mine up from Chicago Cycle for $10,200.00 out the door. I had to pay sales tax and title fee (in Wisconsin) ... it was all around $580.00 or so... so the TOTAL was right around $10,780.00. I just sold the zx-12 (2001) for $5500 and the 2002 Hayabusa for $6200. (Tuesday) I had to buy something nice for the wife with the left over money... (a cheap laptop...) Anyway... I think most dealers will work with you at this time of year because most people that wanted them have got them. They do not want them left in their showroom when Suzuki hypes the next Busa, or Honda announces the next BirdXX...
