Center Stand and Other "Stands" Has anyone put the center stand on their bike - Or is the stand even available yet????
Also, does anyone recommend a rear stand over the other (i.e. for maintenance)????
Thanks

I put the centerstand on. Ordered the kit and the service manual from my dealer. It took one week for delivery. I do some long distance trips. Centerstand goes with me whereas a rear stand would not. Thus, it makes it easy to lube the chain or whatever you need to do when away from home. Also, quite easy to lub the chain, tighten chain, ect. while at home. A rear stand kinda gets in my way. Installation is easy but you have to remove both cans (mufflers) to install the stand. It comes with a grab handle as well. Installation requires that you remove the rear fairing. All is quick and easy.
In addition, I suggest grinding the stop on the sidestand so that it rotates forward more. Several owners have reported the sidestand folding up on them. I ground the stop with a dremel tool. Took 10 minutes. Side stand is significantly more stable. Took off a little more than 1/8th inch. Then repainted.

I wanted to add that there are 2 (two) handles, my dealer only gave me one, then called to say he had the other one at the shop.
Here is a photo of the handle.
mugsymd here is the best and worst part, the 14 will jump right on and off the centerstand. That's also the worst part. I cover my bike and if it's raining I don't feel comfy leaving her on the centerstand, I'm afraid the wind will catch the cover and push the 14 off the centerstand. Storms here in Florida can get pretty nasty.

Just ordered the Pit Bull front and rear stands from pit bull - should have them next week - curious how they work - the company rep was very enthusiastic about the products.

Thanks for the photo of the handle, LoL, I've wondered what that big lone bolt on the passenger peg bracket is for!

Pit Bull *forward handle* rear stand!
Much easier to remove the rear wheel or service the chain without all that junk sticking out behind the bike. Plus, there's nothing to trip over while the bike is parked on it's "perch".
Needs a life
Full throttle!

Yah, mine came in yesterday. Absolutely rock solid. I like the way it picks up the bike without moving it around a lot. As a test, I put the bike's front tire in a sport chock first, then used the rear stand. Had no prob lifting it. With the older type of stand, half the time, you end up pulling the bike back instead of the stand wheels rolling forward. Good stuff!
