Green ZX-14
This pic is real not photoshopped. I took it on the isle of mann last week. I was riding on an electric train from douglas to laxey. I Was going to get some better pics when we got back but the bike was gone.

Can't tell from the pics "which" green it is...closer to Kawi Racing Green or '00 12 Candy Lime?
On another note, sorry I didn't get to meet you at DG in May, Harry. The "incident" had occurred prior to my arrival.

It looked a lot like the metallic green of the 2000 12. I would have liked to got some better shots. I liked the color.
Wish i would have met you too. I had one of my other 12's there at dg so i didn't miss any riding.

Here is my photochopped Kawie green version of the 14. Not the greatest, but I think it shows that it would look pretty good green.

I would love a Kawi lime green ZX14. Anyone know how much a high quality paint job would cost?

$1000+ US. Might be more, might be less, the biggest cost variable is the paint itself. Regular paint might only cost $100 a quart, but a real nice metal flake with a few different stages could be over $300. I know the titanium and magma colors for 636s and zx10s are around $200 a quart. Whatever you do, don't take it to a regular bodyshop to get painted. Make sure the place has experience with bikes. A decent shop will have an album for you to look through with all the bikes they have done.

I can tell you that it would cost north of 1200.00. + Materials. That's what I do (Custom Bike Shop. We build, paint, fab, repair & Dyno tune all bikes) Check my site.
Don't ever take a bike to an auto body shop. You won't get the quality that you would want on your ride. Nothing personal to anyone that's runs a bodyshop.

Is it reasonable to expect a quality repaint to stand the test of time as well as a stock paint job?

Better in fact. Factory paint is very thin, as is the clearcoat. Any good painter will put a thicker coat of paint and clear coat, making the finish just go BAM (as Emeril would say).
Stock paint jobs are not that great, and it is the clear coat that you should care about. More clear coat means more pop, and also gives you more material to buff with when you need to buff the finish. Thinner means faster buff burn-in potential right to the paint.
