zx 1400 vs. maytag washer

just read it in the new motorcyclist magazine. they are afraid to put it up againt the rest of the hyper bikes because they might loss some advertising bucks when the chips fall...better to keep everybody happy and collect all the money than to tell the whole world what we already know the zx 1400 is the new king of power ...handling stopping and comfort. dont tell anybody else or they will take all our fun away

They tested the 14 against a Yamaha Fz-1 for some strange reason. He was being sarcastic.

Maytag man,
Well said. I know what you mean. This is the 1st bike my in memory that still doesn't have a full test out that I am aware of, 60 days after release date. That sucks doesn't it?
I guess we know who runs/edits/censors, etc, our bike mags.
Maybe marketing is reaching out to the cruiser set [ market majority ]?
Maybe trying to avoid further restrictions?
Or just avoiding the crash and burn set?
Wonder what's really going on here?

mano... I've seen lots of full tests... what are ya talking about? There have been several links to tests and articles posted up here. As for the 60 day thing... shit... you know how slow those print guys are.. how many months did it take to get the bike on the cover after the press launch? we had our story up in days.. I think they took 3 months. Good guess for more reviews (other than all those out already) would be 90 days after they've had a chance to spend a week or two testing it.

I chalk it up to the rider. If you would have had someone like Gadson or Schnitz on the washing machine, maybe with a lowering strap, the results would have been way different.
Plus the set up crew on the washing machine was all new. I don't expect that production models of Maytag or Whirlpool will yield the same results in the street. I like the front loaders myself.
