Lots of temperature swings in your area that might cause condensation in the crankcase? Oil/water mixing & frothing can cause white residue like that...

Just keep a close eye on it after your oil change. Also make sure that it's not over full.

I've experenced this with my ZRX. To many shorts trips not allowing the
bikes oil to get up to temp. will do that.

Do your service, then take it out on a 20 or 30 min. ride and it should clear
up - if not, you better pressure test the cooling system.

If you have been getting lots of humid weather, and what sirgnatt and zxbob mentioned will cause that.
Other than that,Keep a close eye on the coolant level, mark the cold coolant level in the resevoir, and check it regularly. Park in the same spot each time you check it cold.

Don't want to concern you but it could be coolant. Make sure it is not buddy.
Good luck.

Put her back togather and ride !

Its hard to be an internet expert - but by the pic you posted, its most likely
NOT an internal problem ! There is not a significant amount of sludge. My
ZRX was worse than that from short rides (Starbucks and stuff)

Are you taking short rides? If you don't get the engine warmed up to running temps, this can do it too.

I ran 3 of the 1st 1164c.c. motors that Jack O. from Orient built for the street. none of them made it past 500 miles. Cracked cylinder liners when sitting waiting for a lite. The last 1164 motor that grenaded was while I was traveling at approx. 180 mph on my way to Super Sunday up in Conn. The motor dumped all the coolant into the case, mixed it up real nice & blew it Hi Pressure all over my rear wheel. I looked in the rear view, realized my catastophic predicament. I then proceeded to coast down to 0 mph w/o wiping! Jack appologized & built me another that was a 1109 free of charge it was the 3rd motor he ate. Wasn't too thrilled to find out I was a Guinea pig. But, ya know how that goes Young , Dumb & full a Spoge.
Well I went alittle further than planned. Hope ya got something out of this.

If I remember correctly this is one of the additives in the (Dino) oil. Don't think you have anything to worry about. Synthetic oil (Ams-oil) I have not noticed this type of seperation.
Robert
PS When running a engine it's always best to run it up to operating temp. That gets most of the moisture out of the engine, and pipes. The machanic I work with says in the Winter you can see the moisture better, you want to run the engine until the moisture coming from the pipes is gone. Keep in mind in Florida we drink air.

Check the car as well. Same thing will happen if you short shift to a work place. That's what happened with my mother's compact Ford. That car saw more abuse running to work just 1.4 miles away. I sold that car to a co-worker. He brought it down to Mexico, and told me the car didn't burn a drop.!
Do nothing to clean it. Let it evaporate out as you take longer rides.
