why not get them polished and then hit it with a semi-transparent powder coat to make it "candy chrome"?

This makes no sense at all.

So you like the stock color, but you want them shinier, but with the same color? Wtf?

ZX1KR To make a link clickable put [url ] then the link [/url ] at the end. That way it wont have to be cut and pasted, just clicked. No spaces in the brackets

To post a picture you need to have the actual url of the picture. You can right click the picture to get the properties and then cut the url from the property box and use the image tags. [img ] picture url [/img ] Again no spaces in the brackets

Or if the picture itself opens in a new window cut/paste what is in the address bar of your browser and put it between the image tags as shown above..

Clear coat or clear powdercoat.

If you anodize the wheels then the wheels will need to be fully stripped AND polished then anodized. Remember that anodize also fades over time depending on the mount of sunlight it's exposed to.

Yea,that was me. The Kandy Chrome that we do is applied like paint, it is a primer type base that is then chemically treated bringing out a MORE reflective finish than real chrome.
it is then cleared w/ a proprietary clear specifically for this process. At that point it can be sanded & Kandy Kolors can be applied. It surpasses OEM paint durability but, it's big $$$'s.If you screw anything up prior to clearing there's no fixing it it's got to be stripped & redone. It's extremely time consuming. We've got an HD Street Rod that is being done right now that will blow your mind. This is some of wildest stuff I've used in a while.

Stop down anytime, I have a dyno in house & anything else you might need , I'lldo my best to help you with.
