Sorry. Better days ahead.
Maybe your rates won't be much worse.
What are you going to do with the wrecked bike if that's what you meant by them 'giving you the rest' ?

I meant the difference between the loan payoff and the worth of the bike. I probably will not request a buyback of the crashed bike. If I had the $$ to mess aroungd with that I would. Right now I just want my blue 14 back and my injuries to heal.

You should definately look in to buying the totaled bike back from the insurance. Then part it out. The money you make from parting it out can then go towards your new ZX-14 as a down payment, to keep you payment lower. I mean heck muzzys is get $6200 for an engine....even if you only get half of that.....and im sure there are racers out there who arent going to register a bike for road use....just for track use...that might want the whole bike from you, a salvage title wouldnt much matter to them.

I'm surprised they totalled it. But no doubt someone will be riding it in 2 months. Buying it back from the insurance company is not a bad idea. Insurance companies are pretty wise to the worth of the bike. They may want 4000-6000 dollars for it. My brothers then 4 year old VFR with 42,000 miles on her they wanted 2000 dollars for it damage was similar.

It depends on how much they want for the bike.

I just talked with my adjuster. Since the bikes sell for retail or above I will get full replacement value + sales tax + $400 for my helmet. It at least means that I will be able to get a new Blue Beast.
I'll be more careful this time. Really Dad. I will.

I use to do a insurance scam like this, I'd buy a car and insure it with 10 insurance companies under 10 different names, I got the names and license numbers out of the DMV trash.
I'd crash the car carefully to total it but keep it drivable, spray clear acrylic on the open metal areas so they didn't rust and always buy the car back so I could claim it again.
At one time I was working 3-4 cars at a time. Good fucking money at the time.

I am going to ask what the buy back is. The dealer wants to buy the bike from me if the price is good and will put the money upfront.
I just need to find a replacement. I will be working on that and all of the other stuff this week.

let us know how much!
Maybe someone will buy it outright from you, for a quick small profit!
I'd love to have another specifically for drag racing!
But won't pay full price for a bike I'm gonna chop up!
PM me I'm serious.

Don't let the dealer buy the bike. They will end up parting it out as new parts. Buy it for yourself, or let us buy it.
