Rear Tire Replacement
It would seem the rear tire, especially with the secondarys removed, is going to live about 1500 to 1800 miles. Maybe. Anyway, does anyone know of a supplier for the oem tire? I understand the 14 rear has an additional belt compared to the standard 014.

My opinion - Rear tire centers are primarily eaten up by one or both of these methods:
1. Burnouts, or VERY hard launches like at a drag strip.
2. High-speed runs where wind resistance forces you to truly use ALL of your horsepower and torque to push the motorcycle down the road causing high amounts of heat and friction at the center of the tire.
I say this because I rarely IF EVER do hard launches, I never race anybody from a stop, or even from speeds under 60mph, yet I still burn up the centers of my rear tires pretty fast. My riding stil does, however, include frequent attempts to max out my speedo or hit 120-160 between corners, and I'm a firm believer that it's those high-speed runs that really eat up my tire.
As a side note, I'm sure I'd use up the sides of my tires too if I lived anywhere near good twisty roads like I ride occasionally in Arkansas. But, living in North Texas, twisty roads like that are hard to come by, and even if you do find some, they are only connected via some pretty long, boring, straight, flat roads.

I saw it in the latest "Cycle Accessories" ad, about $160.00. They claimed they were OEM.
