could this have to do with gas mileage maybe, kawasaki wanted to do make sure they are competitive with others in class bikes and could not find any other way other than flat the low rpm. has anyone seen any difference in gas mileage since removing the secondary valves?

dubious, are you refering to the Brock Street Megaphone in your post? If so, what do you think? Has anyone seen the dyno on it yet? Lose any low end torque? I am considering Brock pipes since he seems the most knowledgeable person on this bike I have heard. He also seems to support his customers well, something rare in this day and age.
Thanks GTRACING for the heads up on the throttle body fix! Hpoefully Brock will test it an let us know how safe it is for the bike.

Anytime, I should have a dyno on monday or sat but I won't have any before numbers to compare the two. Will dyno with PC3, Brock full sytem(not megaphone), and butterflies removed.
As far as gas mileage, I saw a slight incresase especially in around town riding.... I think thy did it for liability, and so they could advertise this as a bike for "everyone". With the plates removed I would be worried to let any of my riding buddies take the bike for a spin... The way it was stock, anyone coming from a 600 could get used to it as long as they don't get high in the RPM's.

GT...I also saw a gas mileage increase, slight, but probably due to riding more in the higher gears now, since I don't need the lower ones as much in the city...

I agree totally with GT----removal of the secondarys makes this bike like it should have been. I think it is even smoother. Now the injection is just like the ones on the Hayabusa or the zx-12. Neither of them had secondarys. I have never felt a bike pull this hard in the low rpm's. Many thanks to gtracing for being the leaders in this mod.

Well i'm a drag racer and i voted (I have no opinion either way!) and i'm also 50 years old ...Leaving at 4500 to 5000 i feel for now that it softer low end doesn't keep me from going fast at the strip.. I like the tame low end for driving on the street ....It is possible that it may go faster without them but i'm willing to wait untill all the pros have weighed in.. Nobody to this date has posted a dyno chart with A/F ratios !! Some have said they have dyno thier zx14 with them out and it's not a problem with A/F But have posted NO dyno Sheets....

This poll is BS because it is loaded. Kawasaki could build a 500 hp bike and people (inclusing myself) would stay say they wanted more power if you asked them.
The question should have been "would you have purchased the ZX14 if you had seen a dyno sheet ahead of time?"

This bike may be quicker off the line with the subs in. Less wheelspin and more controllability could lead to lower E.T's I'm guessing but could be wrong. Is Gadson running with or without the subs?

Nav...many of us here are the older guys you speak of...mid 40's and up...I'm 48...and need shitloads of power...probably cuz I've got a small dick...:P...LOL
I spend most of my time aggressively hunting the twisties...group rides, etc...but need power...never enough if that...
