Tool Man: How about those sliders? Any progress report? How is the fab process going? Got any pre-production pictures for us? I'm getting ancy to get some sliders installed with all these reports of bikes falling over and stuff...

Muzzys just released their slider today...check out the web site...they look pretty nice. Gonna order a set tomorrow I think.

Those do look nice. Would be interested to see what lies under the plastic. Says they're not offset, so maybe straighforward mount?

Hopefully they have a mount that extends through the frame. On some designs the bike can be damaged by the frame or engine mounts being bent. I would like to see more details. Not that I need frame sliders. ____________

Holy crap! $160 for a single pair of sliders? They must be made out of unobtanium!
I'm sure they are a quality product, but no amount of R&D and materials can add up to $160 for a simple pair of spools.

I understand that, but still...? It's not an overly complicated part to make - just about anyone with lathe/mill access and some billet could put one together... which is what ToolMan is doing.
I'll wait for ToolMan, or I'll take some measurements and give a buddy of mine with a machine shop a call ____________

Hey guys; I have been working on a set. The solid model is done. I am still working on the clearance factors, as it mounts at the same place as Muzzys (the top engine mount visible thru the front of the Forman grill vents). It looks kind of like a wing shape, it is tapered CNC generated anodized (what ever color) aluminum with a Delrin plastic tip. If I like how it turns out I will make some more and sell at cost. I am not going to make a business out of it thought as my time is tight. TM ____________

If they are designed correctly, there will be a re-enforcing bar all the way through the frame. If the bike hits hard on the slider bolted to an engine mount and bends the mount you're S.O.L. Most of the expensive sliders Like LSL etc are constructed to keep stress away from the frame. I would klike to see more details on the Muzzy sliders before passing judgment.

I have never seen a slider sell for that much money...any bets they drop when everyone else has one? LP's are due shortly for about 80 bucks or less...
