To soften the ride, what is adjusted?.Rebound, compression or spring preload?
Im taking my honey for a ride tommorrow on my new 14 and I want things to be a little more cush for her tush.Any insights are appreciated.Kawasaki is not as straight forward in their instructions as say honda was when I bought my blackbird in 98...I adjusted that bikes suspension no problem. Id like to be able to go from sport setup to a softer set up easily.Again thanks for any insights.

Don't soften it for 2up, you should actually be doing the reverse to handle the wifey's weight.
I hope that's what you found in your search or you'll be pogoing down the street and she'll hate you.

+1 on jim there...
Simply adding the wifey's butt will soften up the ride considerably, especially in the rear. Consider this: Even if your wife only weighs 100lbs, tossing her on the back will likely add 15% overall weight to the extreme tail of the bike (depending on what you weigh). You should have pleny of "cush" already without softening things up at all.
