HID on the ZX-14

I just installed HID 6000k on the zx-14 and it looks great.... Is any body going to do HID mod?

"real" HID? like with a ballast etc, or "faux" HID with tungsten bulbs painted blue?

I had real hid on my busa and loved it, would really like it on the 14 should light up a small town.

I was running the HID in the 10 as well (dunno if you remember Sept 04 fish when we did that 636 ride) - us bats need all we can get.

And - a coupla guys installed real HID systems on their 14's already.

I did the real HID with ballasts for low beam and the High beam. I would post pic's up but, I don't know how to post up pic's.. Maybe if I could e-mail it to someone to post them up for me.

Go to Ebay... That's where I got mine from... Do a search on " HID H11 6000k, and HID H9 6000k. They were around $240 each of them.

Today -- just did all 4 on HID (6k) and Xenon's on the 2 upper running lights...installed 2 ballasts/igniters on each side of the intakes just below the intake covers....WOW...that is fucking bright...very cool and gained at least .001 HP...LOL Most expensive HP mod to date...I'l post pics in the AM

Here's the ZX14 done with HID's on all 4 beams and Xenon's on the 2 outside running lights, expensive mod to do all 4, but this bike will never not be seen from any distance and visibility is outstanding...

CDN was about 800 installed for 4 HID's and the 2 Xenons...

It's a C5 (02)...my wife's...if I behave, she lets me wash and wax it once in a while...LOL

I had always planned to put those lights on from day one when I ordered the bike...I figure I want to be seen from a distance so they move the fuck outta the way...and it works!

save pics to a photo host site
right click on photo
click on properties
copy the address
Then [ ] with img inside the bracket at beginning of address,
and [ ] with /img inside brackets at end of pic address
