Well I rolled on with my friend's red, Muzzy piped 14 the other day from about 50 mph in 2nd on my 12 and it wasn't even close. Do those things have a reverse or something because he sort of disappeared in my rearview. Of course it might have something to do with 15 lbs of boost too - LOL!!! We rolled on several times and I started using the NOS and it got alot worse, then my "Dragon" caught on fire - shoot, I felt like the human torch! Turbo got so hot, it lit the pipe wrap! No kidding, this really did happen, ask Roger.

I thought all was fair in a "streetrac" - LOL!
My 12 has a full pipe with a Muzzy Carbon-fiber can, at night it looks stock, sort of except for the length, so you can really have fun with the Busa's! This bike is almost as quite as a stocker and is a little bit of a sleeper. Hey, alls fun, were on the same side you know, I bleed green.

With the possible exception of a built trike, the 14 will KILL any Boss Hoss 2 wheeler.

race someone with, oh, say, a 1375cc stroker, or something....
how would it be comparable to race a naturally aspired bike vs one with turbines?

My friend had a 12 with ported head, 1290 pistons, degreed cams and dryshot of nos, plus geared to a top speed of 165 - bike was very fast. We did some roll-ons, but never really got what we thought was a perfect run. Turbo bike is geared way higher and the hit isn't as abrupt as his hotrod, but the topend charge is unreal. Once up to about 8 lbs boost, the race is over. Bike made 230 hp at 8 lbs of boost on Motorhead's dyno, I'd guess we are around 300 now without NOS.

14 wil eat a S/C 502? Because of the gearing?

Traction my friend, traction. A stock 502 makes too much torque and makes smoky burnouts up to at least 80 mph. Jane's trike could probably pull the trigger on the 14 but it has to giant Hoosier racing tires with wheelie bars to put all that torque the pavement.

BBB, after your Turbo install...guess what? IT'S STILL GOING TO BE A BUSA, NOT A ZX14.

That's right...Busa's are nice bikes but they are just flat outdated compared to the ZX14...The 14 is just a nicer motorcycle and is more refined while putting out more torque and HP completely stock...Gauges, features, ease of maintenance, smoother and just a better design ect ect...

This is what the busa guys are missing..The 14 has the details that make it a nicer motorcycle that is missing on the busa...Busa's a nice bike...But the 14 is newer...Just a fact alot of Busa owners have trouble accepting...

Busa is cheaper
Busa has more aftermarket accessories
Busa has more skilled technicians available to tune your bike
Busa has good low-end torque => no fixing needed (saves $$ & time)
Busa is a Phenomenom, a Concept, mark in the history

No ABS available...

MrSantaFe has raced 2 so far. One rider slightly heavier with Slipons and the other lighter by 40lbs. with mostly stock bike(gutted stock cans, -1 front sprocket).

Both lost without too much problem.

We are setting up another race with a Busa that has Brock Hindle, -1 sprocket, Powercommander, and put the lighter rider from the previous bike to compare.

Now the difference today is that MrSantaFe's bike has the Muzzy pipe, Muzzy map(which we found was pretty close to being right on...a little rich for our altitude so we leaned it out about .8 - 1 point on the AFR), Removed SEC flies and such.

I'm 100 percent confident the Busa will lose by at least 2-3bike lengths on a roll from 2nd gear @5000 rpm and up. Now that the Sec flies have been removed, the Busa will lose bad from 2500 and up.

We will get it on film and this time it will be a better video.....cause I will do most of the taping.

Stay Tuned!!!

How about under 2500?
