What rear stand are you using.
What rear wheel stand are you guys using. My lockhart spool stand wont fit up far enough with the stupid rear fender still on. The handle hits. It might clear when I get the fender off, so what are you guys using. Spool stands or the pad type??

I use a pitbul and have the Muzzy billet spools on my 12 though...
Those spools are awesome pieces!!!

I have a Pitbull with Pitbull spools. It fits with the bottom, reflector part of the fender chopped off. I don't think any stand will fit without at least doing that.

Yeah, I had to fold the flap in to use it. Of course it's gone completely now.

Im currently not where I can look at my bike. Does the ZX14 take spools?? If so, what size??

Yup, no problem with spools. Can't remember the size, but it's pretty much what every other Kwak sportbike uses...

Well some are 8mm, some are 10, and some are 12, so it would help me to know which size so I can order the spools. Gonna get a pitbull pull forward stand, so I can put the bike up on the rear stand by myself. Pretty cool, you can stand too the side, hold one handle bar and pull forward to raise the back end.

According to Pit-Bull and just about other website that sells spools that I can find, all "recent" Kawasaki sportbikes use 10mm.
I've been looking at that new pull forward stand myself. I like the idea of being able to stand beside the bike, not behind it while putting it up on the stand. Plus, you don't have to worry about tripping over that stupid bar sticking out the back.
I asked a local dealer if he was going to stock that item, since it's a new product, he hadn't even heard about it. When he looked it up, he said "boy, that sure looks dangerous... I'm not sure anybody would buy it." I have no idea what he's talking about... I don't see how that's any more dangerous than any other rear stand except that high-dollar one mentioned above... you prett much have to balance the bike with one hand while lifting with the other.

I had the same problem with the first stand set that I bought, and had to "bend" the fender to the side in order to use it. Didn't like that approach, so did some more checking and found a set of universal front and rear stands from Handy Industries that work very well. The price wasn't too bad either, being $112.63 for a front and rear set, including shipping. Note that you have to specify which version you want, and that the spools are not included.
