Speedohealer questions?
Alright went 1 tooth down in front. Damn the fucking governor kicks in so early now.. If I installed the speedohealer and set it up will it enable me to have more top speed with out kicking in the governor? And if I set the thing up showing me going way slower in which I 'm actually traveling will I be able to go over the 186 mark???

Is the limiter kicking in at a particular indicated speed?

If it's kicking in at an indicated 190 you will be lucky to be turning an actual 160, 165mph. The speedo is usually of 7 to 10% from the factory. 1 tooth will drop 10 to 15 mph of top speed.

I'am expecting my speedohealer tommorrow. I will calibrate it to be accurate at 100mph in 6th gear on the Dyno. I will then see where we go with the top speed from there. I have 200 miles more to put on this puppy then it's balls to the wall.

As a temporary method, couldn't you dial in a negative adjustment such that the computer never sees an indicated 186, but then use a GPS for real speed?

Absolutely, as soon as I know, you guys will hear it. I'm hoping that I see 190+mph on the Dyno after the SH install. That in itself would answer a whole lot of ?'s.

I set my SH to -7% and that seems to be really close. The SH changes the speed signal right at the countershaft so the ECU and insturments think your going slower than you were before the SH. It wouldn't get rid of the restriction but it would make it more accurate.
Couple of things I did notice - The Odo read lower now (-7%). According to the SH docs this is normal because the manufactures build in a error rate in the speedo on purpose but the factory odo is very accurate. So the SH makes your speedo acurate but throws off the odo.
Also, my MPG went down more than I expected - Since it's calculated from rate and distance I expected it to go down the same 7% but it went down more like 10%. Then I realized that before the SH my cruzing speed was 80mph uncorrected (74 corrected). Well, now I'm still doing the indicated 80 but now it really is 80 so the fuel rate went up as well.

My around town mpg was at 33 and now is at about 30, so I am seeing the same thing, except my error rate was set to 9%.

Santeezx14.....
Did you change the gearing?
whether gearing was changed or not, does it rev out to a real 186 mph now?

If your speaking to me................I don't see anything that states that the speedohealer removes top end restriction. All it does is correct the speedometer...........

The Speedo Healer web states that it bypasses or can bypass the speed limiter, except on Suzuki's that are gear sensitive doesn't it?
I haven't speed tested it yet.
I also might try my 18t front sprocket, if the motor can still pull 6th gear.

Well done. Thank you.
That is very good news.
Does hitting the soft limiter@11,000rpm cut fuel, retard, anything?
Any info on tach accuracy?

To set the correction at -10% for the 14
All switches on, press remoe 1 time to reset.
I turn off all switches except #4 switch on.
Then turn on ignition. Push remote button 1 time, check.
Then turn #4 switch off. Correct?

If you go to the SpeedoHealer website (link below), clicking on the "On-Line Calculator" will get you to where you need to be.
The calculator will help you determine the appropriate adjustment and then provide specific instructions on how to program the SpeedoHealer.
