Dyno Break-in?

Currently have 54 miles on the bike. The local bike shop says he can break the bike in with only one hour on his dyno-- Says he breaks in racing bikes all the time. Are there any pro or cons of a dyno break-in?

your tire will be toast. Ride the bike to break it in. It's more fun and it gets the rpm's up and down better..........

Just make sure the bike does not overheat.. they need a big fan!
Loaded roll ons, without revin the piss out it for the first while too!, and I prefer not to have the engine braking much as combustion pressures should be kept high for good ring wear, not under a vacuum, as in engine braking.

Just my 2 cents.... don't forget you'll still have to seat the pads, and scrub the tires!

Yes LOL, he'll have to scrub in the new one LOL!
I prefer roll ons, to keep combustion pressure high...heavy hard top gear roll ons, on an empty highway, after an hour, ride it like you stole it!
I can become familiar with it, scrub in the tires, and seat the pads all at once, and i save $500 in rubber and dyno time!

I'm kinda anal... and not in the broke back way..... LOL.... Nobody will treat your bike like you will!

If anyone is gona fuck it, I want it to be me!

BTW do not leave yourself open around here.... they jump on ya like a pack of ......Fastest Hayeena 's around... LOL

Why take the chance? Race bikes are rebuilt a LOT more frequently than a street bike.

that's exactly the point
your dyno guy is nuts.....
race bikes only have to last 250 miles
i suppose you'd want YOUR bike to last a bit longer
break it in the manufacturer's way.... or that of Brock

what's the point of paying for the dyno when you can go thru the exact same pattern of use on an empty road anyway?
