Thanks for the post and the spread of goodwill and sunshine. I've owned 2 busas and the 14 out handles and more stable than the busa. The busa is a great bike. The 14 is a better bike. People thought the busa was ugly too. Matter of taste. The 14 is a great looking bike in my opinion as is the busa. Your not going to get a rise out of me, so enjoy the site and welcome!

Times are-a changing. I don't disagree with the look. Hell I still think the best looking hyper-bike is the ZX-11. Ride the ZX-14 long enough and it's looks will earn it respect. Riding in the W.Va mountains at night doing 100 mph, well my headlights are better than yours. Trust me lights were more importaint than looks at that moment period.

We at the Busa sites were talking about how surprised to hear that there was a tranny issue reported by someone. That the Kawi tranny was very strong. Not looking for enemies and thanks for the welcome Vegas

to each his own....
Its the finest piece of machinery i've ever thrown a leg over...!
1st I heard of tranny issues.... the clutch is a beast too!
Tranny very smooth.... really a fine machine!
Ride one yet?
you'll like it! guaranteed.

Only thing is bottom power below 5000 "feels" soft ...but is safe on shitty or wet roads....!
I usaully ride it right around 4-5000 rpm so it comes on the pipe hard after that!

I'm sure, like other things, it will grow on people. I do think that the plastic grills could be changed out and it would look much better.

My brakes, admittedly, were not very good in the beginning. Braided lines and better pads helped tremendously.

The Busa apparently grew on thousands of people. To not need to change it for years has to say something. Kawi just hasn't had a very attractive bike in a while.

I said that :
1. I'm sure it's quick
2. Changing out the grills for a smooth side would look better. I've seen pictures with the smoothed side on some custom bikes and it looked pretty good.

Personally I think the grills would look good on any of the colors if it matched the bodywork, so i really like em on black.

I haven't bought a bike based on looks since.... aw .... never!
So it really is a bonus I like the looks of it!
Performance is of top priority, otherwise I'd be riding a blinged out chopper.

I wanted a Busa for several years, but couldn't get past how ugly it was. I wasn't impressed with the 14 either when I saw the pics, but in person it is mean looking. I do think that Kawasaki could have been a little more creative with paint/graphics, and I'm getting used to the side panels. For such a big machine it is very well balanced and feels super light.

To each his own, but I personally think the 14 is way better looking than the Busa.
