Mine is here
well my blue one arrived today and as I headed towards the dealership the tornado warnings and heavy thunderstorms started (This is supposed to be may, not August) ..... God hates me, that's what it is.... so I guess I can wait one more fucking night....
Well tomorrow (cough, cough) I feel a cold coming on so maybe I won't be at work... I'll be playing.....

well today I picked up my Blue beast.
For the first hour I was just blown away at how this bike knows what I want to do, and then just does it.
As stated by many of you the rear brake is a PIG.... But the front feels like it could loop me if I tried.
As I'm trying to be good, I've been shifting 4-5 K, just when I hear the engine starting to light up.
This afternoon I came off a set of lights and at 5 1/2 grand the front end started coming up (nice!!!)
shifted to second, same thing.... this thing is a monster. And the growl it starts producing over 5K confirms it's Jeckel and Hyde persona.
On my ride along the 401 just now at 5 - 51/2 K in 6th my right hand started going numb from the vibration... either it will smooth out in time, or i just need to down shift, or go faster.
Now, today I picked up a new lid, Shoei X11.... Love the fit, paint, but damn is it loud on this bike.... wind noise is deafening.
don't know if it is the Bike's windscreen directing air perfectly at my lid at the perfect height to cause helmet buffeting, or is the helmet itself...
All I know is tomorrow I don't start work till 1600 hrs, and it's going to be sunny, dry and warm.... i will be out getting to know my new love.
It was a pain in the ass waiting for this ride, but Damn KHI.... NICE F---ING BIKE

It gets real hot real fast. It will improve with miles as the motor loosens up. Remember this is a huge high HP engine in a fully faired bike. It's never going to like traffic jams. I'm going to switch to full synthetic oil after 2,000 mile. I will also add Water Wetter to see if that will help a little.
Congratulations on the new ride!
You're going to love it!

Thanks, any comment on the wind noise, is it the 14's screen or the new lid?

I noticed that too but thought it was my Icon Mainframe.
Do notice pretty good buffeting in crosswinds.
The windscreen appears much lower than the zx12r
Oh well petty issues!
I still love it

Mine is very quiet. I use an Arai helmet. I used to use Shoei and it did seem to have more wind noise.

I've got 2 Shoei helmets. One is a Shoei Statik. It fits well, but maybe a more snug than I like. It doesn't have a whole lot room between the chin guard and the front of my chin. My other is a Shoei Eros. The Eros is a very quiet helmet, more so than the Statik is. Its ventilation isn't as good. The Statik has several vents on top and in the rear for airflow..
The Eros doesn't fog as easily as the Statik does either...

My right hand went numb on the 14 too, but it wasn't anything to do with the vibration, i'm just getting old. This is one of the smoothest bikes i've ever had the pleasure to ride.
