removing the seat
any suggestions on removing the seat ? I tried what the manual has stated by pushing down on the seat etc and i can seem to get the seat to release and how far is the key supose to turn ? just to 3 0'clock or does it turn farther to scared to try .

turn the key till it stops. Tap the tail at the same time. Once you've done this a couple of times the seat comes on and off in a snap. In fact the easiest seat to take off and put back on that I have ever seen.

turn the key and hold it use your left hand finger and secure under the seat and pull up. should come out.

turn key and pull up from the rear... comes off soooo easy and snap straight back in too... its a breeze...

Make sure your in the right spot and not trying the helmet holder key slot. You need to be under the seat at the back.

I dont think the seat is paticularly user friendly taking on or off. Its easy to get loose but not that easy to get put back on.

After my first time off, it goes off and on real easy!

3rd time with cowl back on was a pain cause I could not push down hard at the rear.
Everything was lined up but the rear linkage did not want to hook.
Lubed the back side of the latch, where it slips past .
