+1
I'd rather up the rear one or two teeth and keep the front intact for now. Would I need to add a link to the chain if I kept it at one or two?

Sprocket Specialists told me yesterday to mail them a stock sprocket rear, they could begin shipping in 1-2 weeks.

ive got a 16 tooth in the front. there might be enough room for +1 in the rear or a 42 but i certainly dont beleive one could go +2 in the rear with the 17 in front. I need more gear for my bike due to my weight and living at high altitude.

The best way to add gearing is to drop a tooth on the front sprocket...The reason why is that when the front sprocket is smaller it causes the bike to react faster to the twist of the throttle...
