belly pan removal
How the HELL do you release those "tabs" connecting the belly pan to the side panels?!??
I was afraid of snapping something. Luckily, I was able to do the front sprocket by just removing the screws.
What the hell am I missing??
Oh, BTW, walk, no RUN, to your dealer and get a 16T front sprocket. Different bike!!

Dig out your owners manual. There are detailed fairing removal instructions.

You have to seperate the connector that joins the two parts of the pan together in the front down by the front wheel. you do this by pushing the center pin of the connecter out.Once those are apart you can lift the pan to the side like wings flying an pull the tabs out of the slots in the side panels. They are a PITA
