Want a spare engine?
Well Muzzy will be happy to sell you one............
Muzzys performance products now has available new, "in the box" ZX-14 engine assemblies. These 1352 cc engines are complete with 44mm throttle bodies, engine wiring harness, and coils, just as you would install into the chassis. The ZX-14 engine has a bore / stroke of 84 x 61mm and produces approximately 184 rear wheel hp (motorcycle) with tuned racing exhaust. As with all modern motorcycle engines this is a modular unit which incorporates a 6 speed transmission and wet clutch. They have been bench tested before shipping from the factory and are ready to run or to serve as the basis for a race engine build. These engines are intended for off road, racing use only. Engines sold with NO WARRANTY.
Price is $6,295.95 plus shipping

One would think they could offer a warranty of some kind.

Since they cannot control how it's used and installed or for what purpose, it isn't worth it to a big company to offer any guarantees. A small engine builder might offer you a warranty if you had him build it up for you . . .

It's for racing... not many companies will warranty items intended for race use.

Someone should drop one into a 'shifter cart'...................that would be a pretty wild ride. It would be better to buy another '14 for the engine. If you parted out the rest of the bike, the engine would be almost free.

Awesome!!!
The only thing that bothers me is what happend with the ZX12...Muzzy sells 2000 ZX12 motors, but the ZX12 wiring was upgraded as was the motor in 2002...Soo, you can't just swap a new 2000 motor into a 2002 ZX12...
Now with the 14, when Kawasaki makes upgrades to the motor and wiring in the future the same problem will occur as with the 12...
Hey Rob, will you buy a limited number of 2006 ZX14 motors, so that when Kawasaki upgrades the motors in the future will you buy those upgraded motors???...I hope so!!!
Hmm...So your selling A6 and B6 motors!!!...I guess that means there is already plans for an upgraded motor???
