Kawasaki sent me a letter today....
Dear Kawasaki enthusiast,
Looking for the hottest new bike? Look no further. The most powerful Kawasaki production motorcycle ever built is at your local Kawasaki dealer today.
And right now, you can get 6.99% APR financing on a sizzling new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14: This will be your rate for 24 months! Not just six months. Not for 12 months. Not for 18 months. But for two full years.
Recently, the Ninja ZX-14 raced to the finish line ahead of the Suzuki Hayabusa at the 2006 AMA/Prostar season opener. And it's attracting attention everywhere, whether it's tearing up the asphalt or turning heads at a stoplight.
Your local Kawasaki dealer has the Ninja ZX-14 in stock right now. You'll find the location of your nearest dealer right here. This bike is not good at sitting still, so it won't be there long. Hurry in to see the new Ninja ZX-14 today!
Let the good times roll.

P.S. Financing this hot won't last long. In fact, this offer expires on June 30, 2006, so you need to check out this bike now!

To which I replied...
Dear Kawasaki,
I really like the new zx-14 from what I've seen, however I just bought a new R1 so I'm not in the market right now.
If you really wanted to coax me into buying one you could offer me an interest rate thats not a point higher than I can get on my credit card.
Sincerely,
Me

I bought my 12 with zero interest for a year, but my advice wait for the B model, they punked below 5K and I doubt anyone can fix it.
The new Bus might make Kaw make the 14 all that it can be next year...BAM... 190rwhp!!!

LOL
If they give me a 14 loaner for a one year "ride and report", I'll close with both "Sincerely" AND "Have a nice day".
For the time being "Sincerely" is as far as I go.
Jesus, they let Fish ride one and PK told me that he can't even get the thing up on the optional centerstand.

People (especially non-owners) have blown this whole <5,000 RPM thing out of proportion.
I wouldn't wait too long for Suzuki to release the next greatest thing. After all, it took Suzuki over 15 years to build a faster bike (in any given year) than Kawasaki...

Easy TJ.
Most of us "non-owners" haven't said shit about the below 5k torque restriction, it's been you guys that own them that have been commenting.

Quite right, don't hold your breath. I heard that the 2007 'Busa would be a rehash of the K6. The "new" bike was said to be arriving for 2008, that means in the shows at the end of next year.
