First Time at the Drag Strip
Monday I was lucky enough to make three passes at the Infineon Drag Strip in Sonoma, Ca.
I have never been on a drag strip before, and I have to say it was a good time. The 14 makes it easy.
My best run was a 10.662 at 138.3MPH. If a had a few more runs i know i could do MUCH better. I'll scan the slips in a bit and post them so everyone can make fun of me...
BTW, what is a good reaction time????

.550 or .050(same thing) depending on the timeslip machine, and .520 or less is very good . .509 or less is great and .500 is perfect...
and Congrats... twist that throttle a little more and your mph will go way up...
make sure you are shifting at 11,000 or try 11,250... and it will help your ET...
Great Job!!! You should come out to the Dragbike Zone Grudge Race at MIR in October...

Our track used to be .500 for perfect on the timeslip, but when they switched to their current timing setup they went to .000

Reaction time doesn't factor into your ET. You could sit there for 20 seconds, and still run a 10.5.
What were your 60 foot times?

Good run, I have 25 years of 1/4 expierance. Trust me your most Important number on that slip is the 60'. Sounds to me you either shortshifted or was unaware where the 2nd MPH lite was. This is based on your MPH. see if you can get your 60' down between 1.65-1.75. General "rule of thumb" for every 10th you knock off in your 60' you willdouble it in the end of the 1/4.
What I used to do when I was younger is find a empty parking lot and just practice your launches.
Good luck, you should hit low 10's with practice
