A great day !

Had one of the best riding days of my life today!
Spent some time as close to my old man as I will ever get!

Took the CR500AF for a damn good roostin !
Never rode her since last ...year too busy!
Went out at 6:00 Am and was ridin by 07:30
Burned 7 gallons of C-12 in less than 5 hrs .... play riding!
Damn pig. That bitch pulls as hard as my buddys GSXR750 when it hooks... in dirt!
Actually loam with a little grass works best!
POWER Wheelies in all gears at any time and its geared for 106 mph!
Spinning up the rear tire on blue groove at 60 mph until it hooks and dangles the frt wheel!

Got home by 13:00
Ate lunch and went out on my ZX14...
Wheelies carried thru 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear. Damn thats scary ... 120 mph with frt wheel danglin 3' off the ground.

I went riding places I have not been in 20 years!
Yup 20 years since I visited one of my favourite places on earth.
Its a Jackpine grove in the sand hills with a creek and beaver dams.
The forest floor is a carpet of needles and moss., and no under brush.
One of the most peaceful places I've ever been.
Had some to reflect, and think about the old man, and my childhood.
My Dad and i used to go there and camp when I was a kid.

He passed away 10 years ago yesterday.

Keep your loved ones close, and take care of them.
Have a great day and ride smart!

Refreshing the soul is a good thing. I love motorcycles for the same reason. It is my Church and my Temple it brings me back to center. It reminds me of what is important. Family, friends and hard work so I can play and enjoy.

Couldn't have said it better tm.

Most people do not understand.
Friends , family, and coworkers all wonder, and sometimes ask why my machines have to be so extreme.
The fact that my bikes are so exhilarating, powerful, and rejuevenating, forces me to forget everything , and focus on one thing.... riding.
An opportunity to get the endorphins and adrenaline pumping, and to clear the mind.

After 28 years, it is still the single best outlet I have found to cleanse the mind, and recharge my soul!

dubious, excellent post. My Mother passed away a little over 20 years ago. My favorite spot in the world has to be along the Banana River along SR528. You see we were together there when the first Space Shuttle was launched. She passed Jan 15, 1986. I was going to ride over there for the next launch, thank God I had to work that day. Still every once and a while I ride over to that spot and just sit. From time to time I'll see a Dolphin and I like to think it's her saying "Hi" or "I love you."
Rob
PS For those a little too young, The Shuttle Challanger exploded Jan 28, 1986. Man would I have been a basket case if I'd been there.
