British Bike Mags on the 14

Just got back from a quick, six day mini-vacation in England and Scotland, and while there read every Brit bike mag's review of the 14. Overall, they liked it, but were disappointed in how little it raised the bar over the 'Busa given the six year span since the Suzook was introduced. Good marks for brakes and even handling, great marks for power (no surprise), but several said that they expected some new technology, not just a bigger motor in a rehash of the 12R frame.

BTW, they all expect the '07 'Busa to be a kick butt machine, and very possibly a six.

Don't you think if they'd raised the bar too high there would have been an outcry from the legislators ?
The Hayabusa, even at six years old, is a very, very good motorcycle. As we get nearer to perfection the changes that we can make become smaller. Kawasaki have given us better brakes and handling in the ZX-14, two things that did need improving on the Suzuki and they did it for a fair price.
Suzuki have still got somewhere to go with the new Hayabusa and the winners are.....us.

I agree. It's a mild set up. Add .5-.7 CR, go to 46 or 48 mm TB's and add some duration to the cams!

The government has to save us from our selves...........................they can't stand it when peole are out having fun......................makes them itchy to write a bunch more laws. If it was up to them, we would all be driving 40 horsepower Smart cars.
