Fairing swap
i know everyone is as anal about there plastics is i am but i was wondering has anyone had the idea that if yo are truly not satisfied with your color of swapping plastics with another board memeber especailly if they are of equal quality just to get the color you want without the wait for a bike. Just curious

I'd consider that if someone local wanted to do it.... wouldn't be all that difficult really, but then the VIN lookup wouldn't match the actual color

Owned an R1 a few years back which had a bodywork swap. The official paperwork had all be changed correctly and It was only a problem when I wanted some touch-up paint and the paint code sticker on the frame had the wrong data.

LOL so would I with a local person that got blue and wanted black. I can't imagine it would be that difficult.

When I only had two bikes- a 99 copper busa and an 00 red 12r:
A temporary hire employee finally noticed something and she asked me "if I thought that swapping back and forth between different color bodywork was fooling anyone?"
She did not understand the laughter.......

I switched out my Black VFR for Blue, not really a big deal I suspect it will take maybe 2 hours to do 2 bikes. Only thing I had to do was tell the DMV of the color change at next renewal. Also have a couple extra push pins and hex screws avalible, Dam things I swear are only good for one MAYBE 2 uses.
