ZX-14 at 1/8mi.
Average time at the drag strip with good 170 lbs rider 6:85 @ 113 mph. The stock R-1 was running 6:60 @ 113mph. The 14 will be pretty fast on the highway but don't go to the strip.
Sorry Folks, just the facts

Howdy Pilgrim...
What you just posted is rediculous
You call those ETs good with a good 170lb. rider???
A good 170lb. rider on a stock motor slammed 60" wheelbase ZX12, Howabout a 5.99 @ 122!!!
Naturally the ETs from the 14 wont be 5.99 or 6.0s right away, since the good rider will need to get use to it...Who DragRaces with a bike set up for the street Thats the fact Jack!!!

...and what do 1/8 mile numbers prove?...hell we all know that 1/4 mile numbers have been the recognized benchmarks for measuring a land vehicle's (and some watercrafts) performance...and the operator's, too...
....I think 1/8 mile numbers are good entertainment for operators of scooters, powered barstools, and riding lawnmowers

Your an idiot, I just simply posted what I saw. Here is your real problem, the guy on the 14 looked to be a better rider than the guy on the R-1. I will also tell you what it proves to win in the 1/8 mile, it means that sob better have some good top end because it's already behind 2 tenth when it gets there. Punk.

A properly set up ZX-14 should run 6.20's at close to 120 MPH in the eight mile with the stock exhaust.
Lowered, strapped etc. with a good 170 lb rider.

That 1/8 mile track is actually fairly close to where I live. I've thought about going and checking it out sometime, just never made it there when they were open. I may ride the '14 down there one evening to watch, but I can't see myself trying anything between the lights... my 250lb butt wouldn't do well in a drag race at all...

...again: the benchmark ever since they started measuring these things in short distances (not Boneville or El Mirage or whatever dry lakebed or decommisioned airstrip) has always been the 1/4 mile....he who trips the lights first and and gets there the quickest (unless you're bracket racing and break out) wins...am I right or am I right?

o.k. troll........ i'll take the bet.... in that same race, i bet you the 14 makes up the .2 and adds an additional .2 before the end of the qtr.

1/8 mile? That's not worth getting out of bed.
And comparing two different riders on two different bikes is dumbshit. I don't care if "the guy on the 14 looked to be a better rider than the guy on the R-1", you can't judge a book by the cover. Rossi is a 6ft 105lbs lank, goofy, and has an afro, I guess you think he's not a very good rider cause he doesn't look it?
In the end the pilot makes-up 80% of the run to begin with, now run along.

CRAP! I was just offered a $1000 profit on my used 14 and I turned it down, I shouldn't have been so foolish.

I don't dought it for a second, never did, I would also like to see the R-1, and Gixxer with the same mods. I do hope to hear back from some of the new owners that have ran them in pure stock trim to see what they can do.

Forget the 1/8 mile crap...real men just do the trap Pilgrim. Dude, if you have nothing educated to say, this ain't the place not to say it...get it? Reading crap off some farmers website and then spewing it out here -- well you can expect what you got today...oh yeah....we're armed too...one of the more prominent members here collects tanks with working guns for fun and he know how to use them...where did you say you lived again?

Well I guess I better tell all your 14 buddies not to take their bikes to 1/8 mi track. We didn't make them go. I just need to know what to tell all the bike shop owners and drag racers that were there watching, I can tell them it was some sort of conspiracy if you want me to. And I will also tell the drag strip owner to plow up his track. Why don't you learn how going quick in the 1/4 means also going quick in the 1/8.
