Yah, nothing I would love more than to do a cross country ride. But I don't usually have a full weekend free, let alone two weeks.

Agreed on the time to ride thing.

As far as maintenance on the highway, yes I've had to find dealers for oil, tires, lightbulbs, etc. This is when new, or used. It is really not a major problem.

First off truck shipping goes from terminal to terminal.... unless you happened to get a truck going straight to destination. (highly unlikely) Terminal 2 terminal means multilple loads and unloads.. which is a risk for damage. And of course your shit sits in a dusty warehouse between loads.
2nd shipping a bike 1100 miles for $500 is silly. Thats a days ride and thats why we buy motorcycles.... to ride them.

And your quote for LA to NYC is great.....but if you dont live in those cities you're gonna pay more smart ass. You should do some research yourself.

quote:
No crate. They have a special pallett, They just strap it down and put it on a truck.

Cross county LA to NYC is $630 by air. Do a little research!

Hardly worth $500? WTF? Airfare 1 way is at least $200. + gas +hotel+ food. Do the math. $500.00 is just as cheap or cheaper than riding.

It's amazing how some people will find any subject an excuse to start calling people names...

He's just pissy because he got cold feet on the deal for the 14. And he thinks it was 'delayed', despite a build date in March...
