I think I read some where you can choose either French or English for the display read outs. Probably as simple as pushing a button. Just don't let the 'French Language Police' find out, they will probably impound your bike!!

The instructions to change to English are in the owners manual. That display is the current mpg screen. It just has dashes while stopped.

Wow a measuring system based on increments of ten. Takes all the fun out. .03937=1mm or 25.4 = 1" Thought we were supposed to convert back in the 70's ?? And my wife says I procrastinate

I hate it, I'm an ol' fashoned guy who likes statute,,,like MPG and MPH...I know Metric is supposed to be better and makes more sense but...

I know what you mean fast. I am in a school of engineering and the USA is the only country that uses both english and metric units. The funny part is that almost every problem that they give us is in metric units so you get yo to using these things then the throw something at you like a psi,lbm, ft*lb. Though i am aborn and bread american the metric system is so much better but since we got our firt model car it was lawyas 0-60mph. Or a top spedd in mph or as we know the infamous 220 mph gauges of 2000. I hope evrything works out for the best. I really hope i get my bike today
