Sounds Fishy.
This is the real reason the ZX-14 is so delayed.
I heard they didn't have enough ZX-14 fuel for them. They took some ZX-10 gas and added some KXF-450 Gas but then they had ZX-1450 fuel . So then they increased the bore on the cylinders to make it a 1450. They did that being all hush hush. So then they needed new decals but the decal guy was out of 5's .Imagine that. They had to import the new 5's from Taiwan .Have you ever seen a Taiwanese 5? Well it didn't match the font. So then they got them from a little mom and pop operation in Peru, they finally had the new decals but the paint wouldn't accept the curve on the lower left corner of the 5 so they needed new paint. They searched the entire planet and found the colors they required in the Australian back woods. After fighting the Dingo's and gun toting koala bears they brought back all the paint they needed.
They applied it but it wouldn't stick. The metal on the tank was non compatible with the Aussi paint. So they had to recast the tanks in darkness because the light was the culprit. So after many moonlit evenings . They had the tanks done. Then they painted them applied the decals with the new 5's from from a little mom and pop operation in Peru . Added the ZX-1450 decals . An called it a ZX-1450 A.K.A SUB9. They called Bikeland.org and told them that the ZX-1450 was at the dealers under heavy security. Bikeland.org told them that they had the ZX-14 section fully locked and in place and could not change it to a 1450 site.Well the insults flew like tomatoes at La Tomatina Valencia Tomato Festival in Spain. For weeks Kawasaki pleaded and begged to be known as the manufactures of the ZX-1450 but Bikeland.org stood it's ground. Bikeland.org won. And Kawasaki ran back to Japan with there tails between there legs . So then they waited for the ZX-14 fuel to be delivered. Get this. The Fuel is made in Canada by one of the moderators of Bikeland.org.

What I don't understand is..... why he is writing on a zx14 forum instead of riding!

Thanx, Yes I do. My friend has a 04 ZX-10 just like my old one and we swapped bikes for a bit. I thought my 10 was all that and a 6 pack. But the Gixxie is all that and a dozen beer. Don't get me wrong the Ninja is still a smokin' ride. I don't know if I would have sold mine for the 1000. Some assclown in an Astro van made that decision for me.

But Lizard...Don't tell me you gotta be DRUNK to ride it?!?  .................... but...thats the whole reason I like the Kaw's fer all these years! They are edgy and different & fun!
(And always bring a smile to my face, it's just hard to put a finger on the real reason)
