I agree, I stopped by our local dealer today and they claimed to know nothing but they were tired of waiting too with all the folks asking and phoning. I did find it interesting that with all the rich folks here in MicroShaft central NO ONE has put a deposit on a 14! With the HUGE number of Beemers, MB, Lexus, Porches and 'Vettes not to mention the Ferraris there'd be SOMEONE reserving the first 14. Perhaps with an HD or Ducati in every other garage no one wants a a mere Kawasaki? I dunno . . .

In a weakened state the other night (drunk) I asked for permission from the boss to buy a 14 . . . the answer was . . . OK. Of course, there is no such thing as a ZX-14 so I'm outta luck.

I would think a 502 on spray would have a little torq steer.....lol ....I saw one with a small block at our track a while back ...He ran a busa 3 times and only used first gear(1/8 mile track) , He had a hard time getting off the line but it did hall butt down track....Funny part was he beat the busa 2 out of 3 times ....I have to say the busa rider didn't have much track time and could have done better ...But still it was fun to watch ..!!

Hey 'fastest', whats your current bike status? Sounded like you would have your hands on one by this weekend, is this still going to happen?

Nope, the Kaw rep lied to my dealer in telling him that the truck left Vancouver last week. Now the dealer has indicated that the truck left on the 18th with 20 bikes destined for Quebec as the 1st round of bikes, with 2 destined for him. I would think that the bikes will be here this coming week -- takes about 5 days to truck from BC to Montreal...that's if the rep was telling the truth...what a jackoff...

There are only 2 jobs/careers where you can lie/misinform the public every day, weathermen and Kawasaki rep's and still keep your job!
Now that I see a few bikes being delivered this week, I figure there is hope and I'll be riding in a few weeks/month at the outside.

Her trike has no problems with traction and it has destroyed one set of wheelie bars because they weren't made of chrome-molly. My two wheeler Boss has the usual traction problems. If you whack the throttle at 30-mph however, you get a spectacular black mark with lots of smoke and all you need to do is shift into second at about 110 mph. At speeds under 30, torque does influence the directional stability a bit so you end up needing to counter-steer but NEVER abruptly back off the throttle! With 1400 lb. of MC, plus rider, going sideways, you don't want the tire to suddenly find traction. The trike just GOES, straight as an arrow with no bad manners . . . so far.

On that trike they are REQUIRED, those Hoosier racing tires hook up hard. If you wanted to just drive around with only 1/4 throttle you are fine without them but I have no desire to wheelie that thing so they remain. In truth, my wife will never need them or the NOS.

I checked with Cycle Works (Edmonton Dealer) and they said they would have bikes next week but that they were all spoken for. They said basically every bike they think they will get this year is sold, they were not confident they would be able to get more than what they had originally ordered for this year.
My dealer in Calgary said they were expecting there first batch, could not confirm how many they were getting. They have sold 6, I am number 3 on the list.
Dealer promised me an update next week.

Yet the local dealer here has sold NONE. I know they've ordered as many as alloted but no deposits even, that is STRANGE!

Real men would stick to their priciples and tell kawi to f off. Thats whats wrong with this f****ng country now , people let people walk all over their ass. I'm having a hard time handing a wad of hundreds that would choke a elephant to some s.o.b. that has lied to me time and time again. Expecially the same fuckers that blowed our grandfathers nuts off . I'm not giving them no more of my hard earned money when they're the reason theres a lot of people in this country not doing wortha shit. But you guys can keep fattning their wallets, but do me a favor when you pick up your 14, ask em if you can bend over and take it once more for old time sake. No forget that last part you get that when you sell it.

Bull-fucking-Shit...I have plenty of other rides, so it's not crucial. For those who back out now...do you really think it'll make a diff at Kaw? Like they give a fuck...Your bike will go to someone else; they know you'll be back to get one later anyway. This happens all the time in every business, it's nothing new. You sound like a real jackoff "Expecially the same fuckers that blowed our grandfathers nuts off"? You were obvioualy not waiting on one in any case...so why don't you find somewhere else to spew your garbage? Grammar /spelling 101 might be a good idea too and nothing's wrong with this country, just the morons like you living in it -- jerk.

That's the whole point Kawasaki don't give a fuck dufus(did I spell that right?)and I've been waiting on a 14 since last fall Boy. I've got 4 bike in my garage now, my busas got cams so it's faster than yours, my Roadglige has a 136hp/139tq so it with absolutly dust your Roadqueen and I will not even get into the Ducati and my R1. And dude I started roadracing when I was 12 so I can and will stick either one of those last two bikes in places that will make you wonder why you even bother. And about the jackoff part, you'll have to use 2 hands but please be gentle.

I went to the local dealer today to see if I could see a 14. None have come in yet.
They said they expected some in, but they had not showed up.
I asked how many were pre-sold.....NONE
No deposits at all with several bikes on the way.
They said they had a few names of people to call, but no one is really interested in the bike.
So maybe not so strange after all.
Dealership said so far there is very little interest in the bike!

Interest in these types of bikes is confined to a very small group of riders -- not unlike like the Busa. I'm not surprised to hear this.
