Ok I am no LIAR. I picked up the bike and rode it today. I like it so far as we are just getting acquainted, First impressions are

Power: Lots, a little soft at less than 5,000 rpm then plenty of power!! Wheelies first and second gear start at 7 thousand on the gas. They build fast but are still controllable if you don't get stupid.

Handling: Light and easy very neutral but the chicken strips are still very big so can't tell what she'll be like when slapped around harder.

Brakes: Front very nice around town no long high speed down to first corners yet but seems like it won't be an issue. Back: a little wooden and stiff but there is only 50 mi on it so they will probably be better for parking lot stuff and making the rear squat before heavy front use.

Transmission: a little stiff nothing ugly hope it loosens up some.

Fit and finish: Very nice I am about to go out and give it a first oil change and look harder but it seems good at first and second glance, the seat seems a little hard to remove and replace but that could just be me ?

Comfort: Ok so far, seat is firm with no hard edges, the reach to the bars is long compared to a hard edge Gsxr1000 or ZX10 but I have a long upper body so no problem for me. Not nearly enough miles to know for sure but I think it will be good.

Pegs: seem standard sport fair without being to cramped.

Controls: very nice so far clutch pull fine I have felt lighter but no bitch from me. A little too much throttle cable play for me but I suspect it can be adjusted out.

Overall: I am very happy I tend to keep bikes for a while I think I'm going to like this one!! 8.75 Out of 10.

I gotta say the bike is growing on me.

Still on the fence with the Testerossa door panels, but I'm sure the aftermarket will be all over that.

I wanna ride one. Guess I'll have to call in a few favors here in town.

Just purchase a Testarossa to go with the 14, then all will look right in your garage. I won't be doing this since I wouldn't want a white 14, one white bike (my Boss) is quite enough . . .

We didn't doubt. We just became a wee bit frustrated with the longer than anticipated wait.

Up at 4am Christmas morning heh Toolman!
I would be running out to the garage to see if it was a dream.

The side panels are there for aerodynamic and heat reasons. They are simply removed if you want. Personally I don't mind them.

SEAT COWLING OPTION

For those select few who are blessed to have thier 14's in their dastardly clutches. My query to you, did your seat cowl come as a add on or was it with the bike when purchased?
