You can save money by not carrying medical on your 14 insurance if you already have separate medical coverage.

quote: Curious what people are paying currently.
I have USAA - but they don't insure motorcycles anymore - they "shipped" me to Progressive and was told 2200 full coverage - Hey, I'm 43, license to drive motorcycles now for over 20 years, perfect record, etc.... Did some shopping around and got GMAC to cover me for 642 per yer (full coverage, with 250 deductible).
Anyone beat that on ZX-14 - I haven't checked GEICO yet - willing to try.
USAA / Progressive quoted me $4400!!! I'm 32, no accidents or tickets within the 39 month review window. I do live in Harris County, Houston TX, and too many squiddies pitch a new bike down the street within the first week here, and accidents involving cycles are at an all-time high, which of course puts Houston in the highest insurance premium bracket. Since I paid cash on my vehicle, I got full liability ($186 a year) and will sue the piss out of anybody who knocks me down.

quote: All agents are independent. I had two different Allstate agents quote the same bike and coverage, one wanted over $2,000 and the other only $600 for the EXACT SAME POLICY.
Trust me, it's the agent, not the carrier, that's trying to rip you off.
I have had the same thing with state farm. $2400 and 800 same policy.
I'd like to sell policies for $2400 when I could make money at $800.

Auto Club of Southern California (I dont know if they insure out of state, I dont see why not) has my policy at $380 a year,500 deductable, full coverage with theft, uninsured/under insured, 50,000/100,000. Age 46, clear record. My son 14 wants a bike when he turns 15 1/2. Here in California you can get one at 15 1/2 with a permit. Cant wait to see what his insurance that I'm gonna have to pay will be! He's getting tired of watching us ride from the back seat.
