Like I always say, unless your tires are all buggered up from one edge to the other it doesn't make a difference what bike/tires you're running, too far from it's limits so the only limits are the rider's. I've seen a ZX12 smoke a few 600's a twisty bits of roads(and the track!).

Those tires had at least two thousand miles on them and at least 1.5" chicken strips.

Yup: Now when I meet a young kid and he trys to B/S me about how he's the man, the new fastguy but when I look at his tires with flat middle and the unworn "Chicken strips" are a mile wide the only person he is chit'n is himself. I don't ride as fast as I used to, I can, 35 years of sport riding and 5 years of AMA:CCS and WERA R/Racing skills are still there and my reaction times are not faded much, but on more than one occasion in the mountians of Arizona I have seen what boulders and guardrails will do to flesh and bone. The reason I'm a little slower nowdays is that I'm not afraid I'm going to get hurt ( I'm way to stupid for that) but for the other guy or my wife when we ride together!
A few years ago I bought a Road King (my first Harley). A few of my friends and I took the Globe / Roosevelt / Payson loop. Sat. Feb 24/02 Beautiful day , perfect even, till we started f@#k'n around and had to make a speed run down Az 87 to home. Road Kings handle like shit. But once you get used to the fact that they wiggle and wobble you adjust. I went around three of my buddys sparks fly'n from the floorboards doing about 90 ( I had to be first, Alfa frign #1 dog.) Know the feeling? Well I made it down that hill first that day but my good friend Kalib Pulver did not. I am not sorry for most of the decisions I have made in my life I very much am for that one. He was a rider of limited skill. He crashed two corners later headfirst into a ravine of boulders. I did not even know till a hour later as we had all made the break for home. I have to live with that responsibility and consequence every day whether I ride or not.
Now I CHOOSE to ride and teach new riders I find this much more rewarding than beating one of your friends to death.

Turn Smurn...I would rather 1/4 mile a bike all day, then ride in the twisties!!!
In the twisties there is more room for error which causes accidents  I dont feel like going down anymore, 6 times is enough and at this point in my like it would cost me too much $$$ going down, loss of work and fixing the bike AND missing DragRacing points races!!!

He talked shit under about 20 different userid's on .org when I was a moderator over there.
So I called his bluff on my last Cali trip and told him point blank "I am coming to California on this date, I'll have a sportbike rented, lets ride I'll even buy you lunch".
He pussed out ASAP. Excuse? "I'm a bad man and you don't want to know me".
I don't know how they do it out around Palm Desert, CA where this fuckwad lives, but out here we call that an internet poseur.
No balls, just bullshit. I fucking despise people that run their mouth off like that but won't back it up, and yes, he is just like the 20,000 other 18 year old squids out there that think they know how to ride.
This birds for you BlueFord - if you ever get the balls to actually meet me and put your words into action I'll be waiting.

Will the 14 turn a corner???? depends on how hard you want to work. As myself and a few others like Ted G and Dino will tell you. (the above mentioned have both 12rs and a 10R at the same time) The 12 will haul balls around a corner nearly as fast as any liter bike, BUT!!!! and this is the big catch here............ You have to work yur ASS off to make it happen. You better be skilled and have the God given talent to know where the edge really is. It can be done with all these things. The 10R on the other hand really takes 90% of the work out of this equasion for you. You think and it does. I'm sure the 14 will be the same way. So for 85% of the guys it won't handle for shit! For the other 15% it will be a workable deal. BUT! Like Blitz said above it will never be a liter bike. EVER!!
