Latest date from Kawasaki
I called Kawasaki customer care in Irvine today to get an update on the true release date of the 14. They told me that they are being sent out on 4/24. This is the first time they have specified a date. Usually they either say they are in transit, or next week. Maybe they will be released then, maybe they are trying to buy 2 more weeks.

If end of April/ beginning of may is true:
Very bad business.
They knew when we would be getting the bikes, and have been stringing everyone along.
If everyone felt the way I do right now, liquidated Kawasaki from their garages, and said NO MORE .... they would be done making bikes.
I have ranted and had opinions before ...... but I now am seriously pissed off.

I really wish I was joking. I really felt that this time they were going to say "they are going out on Wednesday" - no such luck. They may as well market them as 2007 models. I got my last bike in September and that came as a 2006 model.

Well its fine for me Cause I cant ride Next week! I have Duty on Easter the entire Military is getting the Day Off! Well if they do come out, I'll be getting my bike right on time.

fellas dont smash me but my dealer left me a message on my voice mail this evening that one whould be at there door on this friday. I will take that with a grain of salt. I tell you though my pipe was scheduled to be at the dealet on 4/21 when i ordered it. This was 4 weeks ago. I tiwll be ashame for my pipe to beat the bike here

The '14 is a Ninja.............................they will just sneak into the dealerships when no one is looking. You will turn around, and there it will be!
I'd seriously be happy for any of you to get a bike this week or soon, it would be a sign of hope for the rest of us.
In the mean time...............................I grimly hang on! The good news is that I have all the cash on hand, so no financing to deal with.

Oh I get their little game. Dammit man I should have figured it out sooner. "So fast we considered heat resistant tile". "Rocket Bike". OK Wednesday is the 25th anniversary of the first Space Shuttle launch. Everyone should get their bikes by the 15th that's when the Shuttle landed in Calf. Hey it's as good of an excuse as any, remember my dealer said by Today (Tuesday). Yes I did roll my eyes.

that's bull_hit, when i got my first zx12r in 2000, i got it on apr. 24th, and the 12 was out way before april. i had it three weeks, may 18th it was dead, a buddy of mine, put it against a tree. all of this fanfair about the 14 has me wondering about the design of the bike.
i fell for that _hit in 2000, brought another in 2003 ran it for 14k miles then that _uckin # 3
piston came through the _uckin block. kawasaki built that motor to blow up. if i knew that
the motor was subjected to blowing up so easily i wouldn't have brought that _hit.
i'm thinking about passing on the 14 the 1st yr. to see if kawi gets it right this time. i want it bad but , i'm no sucker!!!! shame on you(kawi) the 1st time, shame on me after that!!!!

Fish, Have you gotten any feed back from Kawasaki on why they haven't tried to smooth this issue over? I'm sure that they are aware of your website and all the nasty posts.. I do believe that there would be way less nasty posts if they were just up front... I would feel better thats for sure....

bishop - how can anyone NOT call BS on this? Your dealer has told you BS in the past, but you still believe him? Holy crap...

Please do not take this as fact, but dealer called me yesterday and stated he had just talked to the S.E. district manager. He stated that the bikes were in customs and had not been released yet. He thinks this is the second shipment to ensure every dealer gets one bike. The remainder are in a warehouse in L.A.
Who knows, but this would ensure we would not get any bikes in April. Like I said, who knows if this is the truth, but this is what this DM stated. The whole thing sucks.
