Guys,
RELAX!- This is a pre-production version with ZERO miles and ZERO changes, it even has the stock "fish" oil (no offense to mr. antlers!) in the engine.
The STD peak hp was 168.68 stock and 183.20 with the pipe (it made over 186 today with a makeshift sidewinder ;o). The bike is NO RICHER than it comes from the factory. Hindle builds exhaust for stock bikes with no changes- a power commander may not be required. Not sure because I'm not there to test the low rpm areas.
There is NO DOUBT in my mind that we should see close to if not over 200 hp with all the tricks performed to a 14 that we do with a Busa.
FYI: Our Busa's run 9.20's at 150+ with 175 STD RWHP stock wheelbase, foot shifting with a light rider....9.30's with my 180+ butt on the seat.

Dave O ONLY ran 214 because he had to look around the camera. Without the camera he set a new normally aspirated record of 219.94 MPH. Guess who is going to do our high speed testing on the ZX-14 ?!

Good job Brock ... sorry it seems most get caught up with dyno numbers ... Guys it's just a tool like a timing light......True test is the drag strip..... don't beleave me try this > my ZRX1200 with 148 hp on the dyno runs 9.50s at 140 and has the same dry weight as the zx14 ....Just think what i will be able to do with 183+ hp ........!!!!!!

The zx14 is NOT lighter than a b model zx12r.. 463 dry vs 474 dry for the zx14

9.30's at 153 MPH... HELL TO RIDE!, the 12's will not stay on the ground with the stock chassis AND the lack of torque combined with a horrible clutch makes them very difficult to launch. The 14 does NOT have this problem at all.
I truly believe a properly set-up ZX-14 with an extended swingarm will run in the EIGHTS with a good rider and STOCK engine without Nitrous....I can not make the same claim for the Busa.

okay brock and I think I asked you this before.. I stock motored 12r with muzzy clutch, slammed in the front and back, geared with your sidewinder you SAID was possible for it ro run the high 8 second range.. hell Iv'e seen zx10r's set up the same way run 9.30's at 150 plus... Muzzys' blueprinted zx10r drag bike ran into the high 8's..

9.30's and 8.999 is two different conversations.
A bluprinted ZX-10 is 100 lbs lighter than a 12 and less than 10 hp down...also two different conversations.

Im impressed that a 1199 cc motor can make 189 horsepower with a pipe and some race gas. Why should I be impressed that a 1352cc motor makes about the same?!

Im a die hard kawi lover, have owned 6 of them. My first was the KZ 1000. I'll never own anything else. But I have yet to see anyone on this board say they were impressed. If anything all Brock showed me is to continue to be impressed with my 12r..

The biggest variable with the ZX-14 is how it will respond to advanced ignition timing...if it is anything like the ZX-12...200+.
As I said before- we just saw 186 hp on pump gas with a makeshift sidewinder- a ZX-12 set up the same would register around 174.
Torque is the force which accelerates the vehicle...Horsepower keeps it going!
This is the biggest reason why a ZX-12 with more HP gets smacked around by a Busa. Just when it is supposed to catch up...the Busa aerodynamics take over. My dealer STILL has a ZX-12 in the crate...... sorry.
Maxton will show if Kawasaki got the aero's right.

Talked to my dealer today. No 14's yet. As soon as they come in he is calling me. He did not have an exact date but thinks before the 15th of April!!

Supra, just remember the 14 is not a totally new bike, it's a hopped up ZX12 with better suspension!!!

I dont entirely agree with that. The engine doesn't share any parts with the 12R. It uses a one piece upper crankcase and cylinder assembly. Dual balancers and a 32bit ECU. Some kind of new fangled electronic system for the instruments. Same basic frame design but differerent in several areas.. I would think the ZX12R shares more lineage with the 9R than the ZX14 does with the 12R..

We will soon post some shots.
We wont post any shots which are not full production versions and we are still trying new combinations, so it will still be a while. Hopefully next week.

Where are you located? That looks like a combination of two systems- the Muffler does not match any Hindle construction I have ever seen? The mid pipe might be, but it is severely burned...looks like A LOT of Dyno time ?

Here's a close-up of that pipe. The name on it says "Stampeders Hindle". Does that help at all? Maybe Stampeders is a Euro/French aftermarket company that uses a Hindle can on a custom pipe?

fullzx12r - Why is that header and mid pipe so oxydized? Is the "stainless steel" not very "stainless"? Do you ride in water or salt a lot?
