I'm forgetting??
Well here it is almost a month since my first ride and I'm forgetting how good it felt. The way the speedometer said 60 but it felt like 40. The way the front brakes stopped so well...but the rear brake felt like a block of wood. (to be fair my bike had 300 miles and I could have been the first person to use that thing). I've forgotten how well the heat coming off the engine bothered me none in traffic but added about 15 degrees F at 40 mph. I'm forgetting how lite this bike felt and the deep she sounded when I'd push her. I'm forgetting the Instruments and how the inst MPG could be had with a push of a button and the volts with another push. I'm forgetting how the bike fit me like a glove even though I'm 5 foot 4 inches tall. Kawasaki stop this diesase of mine, I'm thinking over time it will only get worse.

Soon Grasshopper. You will remember. Soon. The great 14 will desend upon the land and heal your affliction. And you will look upon Busa's and smite them with your mighty power.

They had better get this darn bike on the market before people get to see the new or secure more details about the suzuk "youknowwhat".
I'm sure that once people get to take ownership they will just love the 14, but I also am sure that there are those that are taking a leap of faith because it's brand new and the other one has 'grayer' roots.
But they had better get this thing in the showrooms ASAP because the longer they take the more reasonable it sounds to consider waiting for the upcoming model year to see what else is new.

Rob
Rob, Did you ride a daytona demo?
Ergonomically, what bike would you compare it to?
Are you really 5-4?
I ask cause I want a really relaxed ridin position, I am 5-8, and if it fit you well, then I will be very happy.

Dubious,
Yes I did twice (sorry if I sound like I'm rubbing it in). The first ride we rode pretty fast I really did not answer questions for me. We rode and we rode fast, there is no doubt this puppy would be fast. After owning a ZX-11 I got rid of it because of the heat that puppy put out. I hear the Busa and XX also put out a ton of heat as well. The 2nd ride was perfect, strange to say we were stuck in traffic it was 80 degrees and I mean no heat from the engine could be felt. Because I'm so short the ZX-11 engine put me right in the line of the engines cooling fan. The 14's Foreman grill works and I don't care what anyone thinks of the look it keeps heat off the rider and that was a huge factor in my decision. As far as my height being a factor, the 14 by the numbers is 2/10 of an inch lower than my VFR but I suspect it was closer to an inch. Maybe my bike is set up tall maybe their bike is set up short but it just felt right. My favorite bike ergonomically would be the ZZR-1200 and if the engine were a bit smoother I'd of considered that bike 3 years ago (sorry Matt), but it did not measure up to the VFR in the heat/FI/weight departments. I put too many miles on a motorcycle to be even a little uncomfy. I'm sure 5 foot 8 inches is just about the perfect hgt for this bike.
