Those are the exact same numbers I estimated based on kawasaki's published crank hosepwer numbers... 190 ps is 169RWHP.. the torque number is impressive
Ditto. 169rwhp is right on the mark based on Kawi's claims.

I just love reading comments from all you guys that say "hell a piped/chipped ZX-whatever or GSX-whatever will beat that!" Ok, great, then a piped/chipped ZX-14 will then turn around and spank you again.

It's all relative...

Exactly my point.

There will *always* be something better. You simply have to decide when to "take the bite", then enjoy your decision. Unfortunately, if you are hell bent on always having the quickest bike out there, then you're in for a very EXPENSIVE lifestyle...

I know i know so off to work I goooooooooo

Seriously something I do at least every 2 years or every year. I first buy the bike right.. Put it on the Kaw card or Yam card etc.. Use their promotional deal make the minimial payment or a little more say 100 dollars a month or less and after you ride the hell out of it put it up for sell and you should be able to get at least 500 dollars or more to buy the latest and greatest again... Its like a lease.. Cheap way of doing it and I have done it for the last 4 to 5 years.......
I usually throw a bunch of money for mods in and loose money that way but if I didn't I would be alright.. After I have a bike over 2 years I sure don't trust it anymore...

No r model!
no class to race it in.
Young guys can not afford insurance, and old guys don't want contorted ergonomics.
Poor marketing decision it would be.
Took them 6 years to step up to plate and build this.
Tooling is too expensive for bikes that are outsold 8 to1 by liter bikes.
Literbikes will always see more development year to year because it has a class to race, more competition in their respective class, and higher unit sales #'s.

Sorry to burst the bubble!

And yeah the pavement is clean enough to ride even here just south of sixtieth parallel.
For me it had better appear somewhere in North America before 2nd week of April !

I may have become a victim of the fantasy numbers that have been tossed around on this forum over the past couple of months, but 169 RWHP doesn't get me very excited. Litre bikes with good exhaust systems and a sharp tune approach this figure, and weigh at least 80 pounds less. The bar may have been raised, but we'll need a micrometer to measure the height increase.

What you don't realize, is that the numbers they get on TQ is in the 7K range, and all the liter bikes in the world don't pull like that. I had an '04 Busa which I just sold and have on '05 10R with a 14 coming. Yes, they are about the same in the 1/4mile...but the bolt on modded Busa (which posted lower numbers than a stock trim 14) pulled like a fucking freight train from 2K up...no winding required...with the numbers the 14 is showing on the dyno, it'll pull even harder...until you ride the Busa (or a 14 I imagine), you have no clue as to what these bikes will do in stock trim...they are awesome. 10R's need to be wound to 7K to pull like that...and not to take away from my 10R, but the low end grunt on the big bikes will rip yer fucking shoulders outta yer sockets...most guys can't hang on to these things when they twist the throttle...your statement about the "micrometer" is highly inaccurate my friend...wait till you ride it before you judge it. Busa was a poor handler and from my experiences on the 12's I rode, the 14 will be a killer machine. The 12 outhandled the Busa and in fact shamed it to hell, so what will the 14 do with today's technology? Just ride the fuckin' thing....then tell us what you think....gimme a 14 that handles like a 10R and pulls harder than a Busa? You bet!!
