I was about half the price for a year on the 10 as he was on the R6! I will have my 14 insured here real soon. I hate to see what the insurance will jump to with him on the 10!! Ugh!

52 here.... motorcycles are in my blood.....and i dont think they are leaving anytime soon....at least i hope not .. i do like a variety of motorcycles....but sport bikes are my favorite...i love the way they look....and while a ZX10 is a bit too cramped for me....seems the 14 will fit me just fine....

I am turning 34 on May 22nd of this year. All I can say is that I think it is AWESOME that we have all age groups loving the 14, and I am especially happy to see that stupid ideal that sportbike riders should be for the extremely young go to Hell as well. The average teenager cannot even afford a bike such as this, and all the mods to go with it, not to mention they have zero discipline on the road. I know the few young guys we have on this site have some common sense but the average 17 year old I see, zipping in and out of traffic, is not my ideal of a perfect 14 rider. Now if you are 80, my suggestion is to leave it alone--you don't need a heart attack at 150+ mph!!!

Old = Cash
That made me laugh...I always tell people when they ask me why I drive a corvette and now a zx-14 its not a mid-life crisis, I just couldnt afford the shit before the kids got the hell out!

Hey Ghostman! Good choice for a first bike! Enjoy, but be careful.

Thanks
Bike is very smooth. Very stable under power. User Friendly. Made sure I understood its "Jeckyll and Hyde" characteristics.
Kinda soft in the rear. Any suggestions(Big Dude. 6'2"/390lbs)?

Stiffen up that suspension. Rip out those flies. Since you are tall get a Heli bar (the comfort will really make a difference), and a double bubble Zero Gravity windshield will help you duck under that wind. I am certain everyone in here will tell you to lose the extra weight with the stock pipes and get a Brock or a Muzzy, and a Power Commander III. Welcome aboard! We are glad to have ya!
Whoops! Hijacked! Stevewfl, where is your cute little hijack guy?
