Well the Dealer is columbia power sports and the other dealer was Ray';s kawasaki and suzuki in sumter, s.c.

Sorry bout that. I'm an old Kawi guy, 2 ZX-11's and know more than I should about bikes. Whatever your thinking I'll bet I'd agree. For the record the dealer who said he sold the 14 was BANKSTON'S KAWASAKI Daytona Beach. Go figure a guy who wants to be respected on the web?

Was Bankston's the place that had a 14 or two air-freighted in during bike week? Seems like someone that did a test ride in Daytona mentioned that a local dealer had one or two for sale. I wonder how much of a premium he was charging?

Yes that sounds right, I'd guess a grand or 2 over invoice. I also heard a dealer in Jacksonville also got one. Glad I did not hear that, sometimes I let emotions get the best of me.

I know what you mean. I think I would have been able to resist that deal though - my "fun" budget is pretty much maxed out these days between this whole motorcycle situation and my car hobby... got too many toys already, don't need to sink a couple extra thousand in a bike right now
My "new" wife is pretty understanding of my hobbies and expenses... but I know there's a line somewhere, and I don't want to get *that* close to it

No problem fellas and thaks for all that have welcomed me. Its kind of funny and before you guys get to joking i am not a bishop. Thats my name. But the weekend before last in church i talked to a local guy who does a lot of racing and has a small bike shop. He supposedly is friends witht he guy who bought the 14 in jacksonville or somewhere in Fla he said the guy was not impressed but did like it. though we are talking about guys who ride big bored 1507 and 1663 busa. I guess after riding something like that with 230+ rear whell hp i would not be also. Though these guys are suzuki guys and we all know the fables they can tell

God Bless the wife, My current ride is over 4 years old and when I asked the wife if it were possible to get a new ride? She said "I'm shocked you went 4 years without a new ride, go get it" Hey never look a gift horse in the mouth. Only problem is I pound so many miles on a bike that my current ride really is not worth much, so I'll be dammed I'm going to have to keep 2 bikes for a while...And the problem with that is.... I don't think I'll be getting anything new for at least 3 years but that's good with me.

I talked to my dealer yesterday (Star City Motorsports, Lincoln, Nebraska) and the Kawasaki regional rep was there, The rep said there are no zx14s in this regions warehouses yet. I know this regions warehouses are in Omaha and Chicago.

I hope my dealer was not pulling my chain but the two deal;er i telaked to were columbia powersports in columbia ,sc. the other was rays kawasaki in sumter sc. I do no know what the guys are trying to pull. I hope you are wrong i hope there are none inthe warehouse becuase they shipped out to dealer accross the sxtates already

The Kawi rep at the Atlanta Cycle World show said that the East Coast port of entry was Savannah, Ga. This squares pretty well with dealers in SC being among the first to receive bikes. On the other hand, I spoke to the owner of my dealership here in Gainesville (GA) this morning and he still doesn't know shit.

bishop - can you call your dealer again today and press him for more information? any details that you can get will help pacify us
like: how did he find out? who told him? does he know this for fact, or is he going off something "estimated" by KMC, etc? did someone loading a truck call and tell him to anticipate delivery?

People...any dealer who says they're gettin' bikes by Friday, would absofuckingloutely know the serials of what's being delivered...even weeks in advance leave alone days. Anyone ever think of that? So, more to the point....if they can't provide serials, they ain't got no fucking bikes on the way in...my money is on that -- sorry.

I don't buy that completely right now. Both dealers that I talk to had absolutely NO warning when the 10R's showed up in January. Nothing from Kawasaki, nothing from distribution, nothing on their dealer website even showed that the bikes had been produced.
I'm not saying that it's going to happen on Friday, but just because nobody official is talking does not necessarily mean that it's not true.
I'm not holding my breath or anything, but I sure would like to be able to get break-in taken care of before my ride on apr 7/8/9.

So would I, we ride the Dragon on 5-15...hopefully will be here by then...break in could be on the way down for me with an oil change along the way, if it came down to that...but for now, I would doubt he'll see a bike in the next few weeks...I hope I'm wrong.

Hey guys just left the dealer. My saleman called Kawaski right in front or me and the lady on the other end broke my heart. she said april was the dat they should have them. Though before i lef tthe owner of the shop here local walked in and called his friend who is so big kawaski executive who he has know for lie 17 years. He insist on friday.
I agree with some guys on the board. last summer this same dealer had an 06 gsxr 1000 pop up like in august. they did not get any delivery info or anything Damn thing just showed up. The same happen with there 10's. they just showed up well before the were slated to come in.
As for you Mr antler please tel lme how did you know my secret identity. If your thast good maybe you can look into your crystal ball and tell me if my dealer is jerking me off. Even is so i have ordered my pcusb, and muzzy pipe. with a black and white joe rocket rascing leather jacket

He's jerkin ya, or he's most likely being jerked by the Kawi rep...IMO. You won't see her till mid-late April...don't feel bad, Busa owners keep waitin year after year in the hopes that their beloved Busa's will be archived in favor of a new one...and in the 8 years they've been around, they haven't changed and the 12R has once at least and now become a 14....

My dealer called today and Kawasaki told him 1st week in April , and their probably full of shit and it will be mid to end of April. Hell think back, Kawasaki said Febuary then March now it does look like April. If not here by the end April the hell with em!
